Theis is on $5m a season, Myles is on $18m a season.
Listen Theis is great, and as a board we do collectively overate Turner a bit. But....
I think there's a significant difference between the environments these guy play in. Theis is in pretty much the ideal situation for a big man, surrounded by above average shooters and 3 big wings who can stop dribble penetration. Turner has to play next to Sabonis which both impacts his rebounding numbers, as well as that teams defensive upside. I think Turner in Theis's role COULD be a legit all NBA defensive center. And Theis only has one more year at 5 million then he's getting a raise, you probably dont wnat to pay him his next contract. Hayward has only one year left, while Turner has three which is part of the value proposition here.
I dont think its like a crazy baseline for a trade, but I'm also lower on hayward than most.
