Gut feeling says they'll actually win by double digits tonight. But then Game 6 could very well be when the season ends. My thinking is, if they win tonight, Game 6 will be toughest game left in this series. But if they win that, I like our chances in Game 7.

Basically, I think this series ends either with Heat in 6, or C's in 7.

But I'll also say this. If this team goes down fighting, so be it. But if they come out flat today and get blown out similar to Games 4 and 5 against the Bucks last season, then I'll be really disappointed. It'd show the team basically quit and would only emphasize that we probably do have a lot of soft personalities and players on this team. Every team deals with adversities. C's did too in the previous series, and now here's more adversity. Will they accept the challenge?

Hope you're right. My gut says otherwise.  I feel unless Brad does something dramatic, history is likely to repeat, with the same outcome.

Scheme wise, putting the bigger guys like Butler and Igoudala at top of zone continues to really mess with our heads.  A lot of turnovers last game were deflections by them.  Somehow need to create point of attack from different angles.  More emphasis on penetration with kick outs to corner threes or dump off to the dunker.

We have to play both harder and smarter, which is not easy to do.

If Heat win, tip of cap to them as the better team.

I'm a downer, I guess, but I'm expecting another game similar to Games 1, 2, and 4.  Back and forth, hard fought, but the Heat will execute down the stretch and put the C's away.

I don't think the issues that the C's have been having in this series are going to go away over the course of a couple of days.  They need some roster changes and to spend all of next season working on their late game execution.

I'm agreeing with his take 100%.

A healthy Hayward would help .   Semi and Wanni just aren't up to backup against the top teams .  They are ok against the lesser quality teams , but the lack of scoring off the bench is terrible.

Last I checked,  there is no Kyrie on this team which means we win tonight....

Celtics 108
Heat 95

Yeah, it's hard to think of many title contenders with so little scoring coming off the bench.

Granted, very few teams have 4 guys in the starting lineup who can go for 20-30 pts in any given game (which is true when Hayward is healthy & starting).

I want to see a 7 man rotation tonight with Rob William's as the 7th.  I also want to see Hayward have more touches in the 4th and initiate the offense.  Celtics win 110-98

I'm hoping we go with an 8 man roation, highest to lowest minutes played in this order:

      • Tatum
      • Brown
      • Smart
      • Hayward
      • Kemba
      • R Williams
      • G Williams

      '23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
      SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
      C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

Can live with that.  As long as we don't waste minutes with wanamaker and semi. Stay out of foul trouble.
