Miami deserved this game.

Can’t blame Brad. We were sloppy and impatient.

Tyler Herro is the real deal. What a joke he is in the 2nd all rookie team.

There is no "deserve"

Brad choked

It's a bummer. We had every chance to steal this game (not in the last minute, but the way game unraveled). Too many TO gave them an opportunity to make a gap in the 4thQ, sometimes just bad defense on Herro, not enough intensity throughout the whole game in team perspective...
1-3 is not a death sentence in the bubble, but we can't afford playing like we did in the 1H anymore, we were really lucky they didn't end this earlier.

Close to 20 turnovers tonight. Tatum had a great 2nd half but was nonexistent the 1st half. Lots of similarities to Game 2 actually and of course Miami just outplayed us in the clutch.

I think this series is really showing these guys are still missing that clutch gene which Miami seems to have.

Celts up by 1. Spol calls timeout. Heat go on a 6-0 run

I'm surprised people still think we're the better team.  We're clearly not.  "Better" teams out-execute their opponent in the 4th quarter.

"Better" teams are not down 3-1. They would be mentally prepared, disciplined, and absolutely dominating the game for 48 minutes.

Meanwhile, Heat are the best team with record in the postseason- 11-2

top to bottom, this team is mentally soft. until this is fixed, talent won’t matter.

As much as Nick Nurse annoyed us, I respect the guy for being fired up in the sidelines and doing what he can to help the team. Often times Brad just stands there like a puppet watching things unfold even if our guys are getting screwed. It's ridiculous. I feel like if CBS actually went off in some of these postgame pressers maybe the C's would benefit.

Ainge choked too lol

Instead of trading the 20 to 76ers... he could have packed that with 14 to beat Heat for Herro. The guy they were preparing to draft

Well, look at the bright side.

The season starts again by early January 2021.

If you're a Pats fan you have Cam to look forward to.

If you're a WASH fan, you have Chase Young to look forward to.

For reals. Pretty sure Patriots football (or whatever sports team you're a fan of) is currently more exciting than this dreadful playoff Celtics team.

Outside of Herro, the Heat were actually pretty bad tonight offensively. Unfortunately our guys were out picking dandelions in the meadow for most of this game - seemed totally checked out in the 1st half and totally out of sorts in the 2nd. If not for Tatum going off, this would  have been a lot uglier. Unbelievable we actually took a lead in the 4th.

If Only Gordon was Gordon then this could be a different series altogether.

unfortunately there is just no more time for him to come back as normal in this series or the next.

how do we shot so bad this game...Maybe the break really did not do us any favour at all...I for one think Boston is an atrocious team when playing after 3 days rest.
But this team, currently constituted, can't win a title. Not even sure it can get out of the East.

Can it beat a motivated Bucks team? Prob not. Can it beat a healthy Nets team? Not sure. Can it beat this Heat team next year? TBD.

Credit to pat riley for this team he scrapped together with the east being as wide open as it will be for a while

Schooling Ainge. They are already going back the finals after losing Lebron and Wade years ago while Ainge keeps collecting picks and drafting guys that can’t get off the bench. Riley drafts Herro who embarrassed the Walker who is a max contract player. Hayward and Walker are way over paid right now.

Can't really fault Ainge for that as he had to offer these players what is available to him...we certainly did not foresee GH tenure a disaster of injuries one after another in his 3 yrs with us. Guy has just not catched a break at all.

Shame that we couldn't get that hump of reaching the Finals when we are so close in the last 4 yrs. despite all the injuries we had to endure.

Brad had some dodgy substitution patterns but he didn't turn the ball over 19 times... 19 turnovers to 8 we won't win if we don't take care of the ball. And Spoelstra was determined that we weren't going to score 60 points in the point tonight so he packed the paint with his zone and dared us to drive and kick and beat us from the perimeter. In response we committed turnovers trying to drive against the zone and shot 35% from 3, which was only because Tatum got into his groove in the 2nd half.

Herro had a career game too, 37 points you have to take your hat off to the kid. He shot 14-21 or 66% overall and 5-10 or 50% from 3, in comparison the rest  of the Heat shot 25-70 or 35% overall and 5-27 or 18%.  The Celtics actually shot better than the Heat, we were 47% overall and 35% from 3.

Brad has command responsibility so it's his job to prepare the team to be mentally ready to compete. So he has to take responsibility for our coming out so flat in the first quarter and not playing with force. But when it all comes down to it turnovers and Herro killed us.
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D
