Hayward's on court presence is commanding. Cautiously optimistic but the team's attitude, especially its appetite for defense was encouraging.

even with his poor shooting he brings so much more to the offense than semi. glad to see hayward back.

Great end to the 2nd quarter after the ridiculous Herro explosion. We've been here before, so I am not happy, but hopefully they've learned a lesson or two over the last couple of games and can stay focused.

I was especially happy with their response to Tatum getting screwed on the no-foul call, the Herro 3, and then the Tatum technical. If that happened last game, they would be down 10 right now.

Am I the only one who thinks that the side swipe action to draw the foul should be either a no-call, or an offensive foul?

I mean, the offensive player is creating the contact, why should the defense be punished for that?

Because you shouldn’t be sticking your hands in there. I hate it but I can see why. It’s like how a pump fake almost always gets you free throws, even if the offensive player is jumping into the defender.

I don’t know why Tatum doesn’t do this more, tbh. I feel like he’s always getting crowded

Saw what you want about that last shot, but Tatum is a tough shot maker. You give him that ball to either make a play and kick or attack himself. He hasn't been hitting that specific shot as frequently as he was during the year, but I think that's a good shot for Tatum against a shorter Dragic/Herro. Just needs to knock it down.

It's the single, most annoying call in pro basketball.

Completely manufactured to give the offense some BS advantage. Just swinging your arms into a defender shouldn't be a foul. Ever.
