I hate all those no calls for Jaylen when he gets hit in the air. The NBA needs to protect these young stars!!!!
Yup, Butler clearly made contact with Brown from behind on his layup. Close to being an undercut.

Yet that's not called, but the BS arm sweep is whistled EVERY SINGLE TIME.

Jaylen has been the Celtics best player in the playoffs. Hopefully his teammates are coming around to understanding this.

Yeah whatever they are doing in this game to get Brown involved, continue doing it, no more parking Jaylen in the corner while we iso ourselves to death.  Move the ball, get Tatum and Brown moving away from the ball.  Put pressure on the Heat's def no matter if it is zone or not.

The Celtics offense is so much better when they attack the basket and don't jack up wasted 3s
Lets keep this focus and momentum for the whole of the 3rd and 4th Q
Great to see the positive impact of Gordon Hayward

I agree but the thing about the NBA today is that teams are at a disadvantage if they're not shooting enough threes.

I hate it but it's true.

Celtics looked so much better than the Heat but the score didn't reflect that for a good chunk of the half (the Celtics did extend the lead late with great defense) because Miami was hitting so many threes.

Celtics FG 50% 3PT 4/14 Bench 26 minutes 9 pts
Heat FG 42.1% - 3PT 8/18 Bench 43 minutes 24 pts

We've seen this before except, this time, the team has Hayward.

If I had to say it, for the last 10 minutes, it's been Brown then Hayward just beating it on defense. They were dominant.

I don't frankly know or agree if it is best to make them play 40 minutes, but, that is what Stevens is going to do.

Jaylen has been under utilized this whole series, specially in Game 2. It was nice to see him running out of the gate aggressively. Now let’s protect this lead please!

Jaylen seems so much more engaged when Hayward is out there. Probably because he knows he has a chance of actually getting the ball. The Tatum-Brown combo has been killer. Let's hope we can keep from crumbling the quarter. This team needs to keep their feet on the pedal and show who the better team is.

Need to come out in the third and punch them right in the face.  They've been doing that to us... time to return the favor.

It's worth noting that we scored 62 points despite going 4-14 from three.  We're taking care of the ball and scoring inside the arc.  Keep doing those things, and hopefully some of those open threes start falling for us.

Put Herro back in the box, and stick to Bam better on the pick and roll.  Nobody else has done anything for the Heat on offense.

Shoulda been a 25 point lead if it wasn’t for a certain rookies herroics  :(

4-6 from three ain't shabby.  Heat 47% from 3.

Had we won the coin toss, would it be safe to say that Danny would have gone for Herro, or would he still stick with Langford?

yes

Boy, Herro would have looked great in green.

Tyler Herro potential MVP candidate next year, or am I overrating him too much

Probably slight over reaction, but would look pretty pretty good off the Celtics bench.

Good half.

Terrible last not (again) by Tatum.

Walks the ball up the court and takes a low-percentage step-back three.

Why???

I continue to hear this... for 99.9% of the league it’s a bad shot, not for Tatum who’s an elite isolation and step-back 3P shooter. It hasn’t gone in for him lately, but he leads the NBA in those plays making it at a +40% clip, it’s only a matter of time before the shots start falling.

I hope Gordy doesn’t run out of puff in the 2nd half

Get that man an oxygen tank at halftime
I want him out there in the 3Q.
