Early in the game. Kanter was put on the post to work and score. It was effective and it disrupted Heat's zone defense. I'm still confused why Brad opted for Grant in the 2nd half which led to the usual 3rd quarter collapse.

I couldn’t disagree more. I think his lack of defensive mobility was 100% why the Heat got back into it in the third. He couldn’t keep up with Bam. They should play Time Lord in place of Kanter for sure.

Kanter played about 2.5 minutes in the third, and Bam scored seven points in the paint.

Kanter should play an 8 minute stint in the first half...and a 5 or 6 minute stint in the second half...
Robert Williams should play a 5 minute stint in the first half, and an 8 minute stint in the 2cnd half. Or vice versa...

All three centers should play....Or, don't play either and give all of the minutes to Grant Williams...Basically...don't shift centers in and out so quickly...they need to get warmed up and get rolling.  They need to sweat...especially Grant W. and Kanter need to play extended stretches.

Kanter's rebounding plus put backs will offset some of the easy hoops Miami gets when he's in...Then the team feeds off him I think...he's got good mojo...He was very good in last year's playoffs...just give him  chance and live with the downside...

Amen! He's the only big who stretches the floor. He's been solid defensively.

Sadly, the player I can think of running plays better than Kemba and Wanamaker is Waters.

Unleash him and Kanter

Me too, to an extent. We only really have situational big men at the moment, and we almost never have an advantage in the big man match-up. So small-ball is often times our only option. It would help if we had a defensive minded legitimate big in the middle, like an Andrew Bogut, but we don't :(

That all said, I think Williams does really well playing bigger than he is. Reminds me of Chuck Hayes in that regard
