Kemba truly is awful right now. Being completely picked on defensively. It's like we're back to the IT days.
At least IT would be putting them in foul trouble :(

Could Kemba be feeling the pressure since it’s first time to go this deep in the playoffs? Sure the zone could be bothering him, but normally he’s good at attacking and dishing. Now even his passes are off target. I hobe Brad has some adjustments to get him going in the 2nd half. Hopefully he
Kemba's game has been off since basically the last round.  his ball handling has been very suspect when under pressure in the playoffs and it's also hurting his passing

He’s also been in high pressure situations before... he did win a Title at UConn. Something is just off with him right now.

The early timeout by Brad says a lot. The team is just out of sorts right now.

5 C's just standing around on the perimeter.  been our offense for several games in a row.  need to get a lot more movement with the players and the ball.  we're becoming way too easy to guard

I have been saying this for a long time too.  We have zero movement away from the ball, we let the other def just rest and take ourselves out of any open backcuts or away from the ball action.
I am sure there is some advanced stats reason to do that, but it looks like bad offense to me.
but what do I know?

Dragic has been the killer.  He is 7-10 for fgs.  He is shifty and can get himself little easy looks around the basket.
Not sure what we do, other than keep Smart on him.

Put smart or brown on him

Butler and Dragic r most dangerous

Do they have a sport psychologist in the bubble?? I'm being completely serious.

  • GOT IT!!!
As soon as the shots stopped falling the game changed. You can't rely on the other team missing shots in this series.

Someone tel Stevens he can shorten his bench rotation and play the starters more. Wanamaker and bench were god awful. Game turned when the bench unit came in.

9 Points and 3 assists for BW in 10 minutes.  Really can't ask more from him on offense.

But D really let down after the initial run.
Better than Kemba for a few games now... :-\

You'd think a former college coach would know how to design an offense to bust a zone.  Yet Brad still struggles.

Of course, I cannot state strongly enough how much I hate that the NBA ever allowed zone defense to be played.  They really need to bring back the illegal defense rule.

it looks like we have NO idea what offense to run against the zone
it was the same in the Toronto series.

smh  we look like a high school team out there

Yeah it's sad.  Reflects poorly on Stevens.  This is where not having Hayward really hurts.  Get the ball to the middle of the floor with a competent passer.

it’s amazing this team beat toronto and is in this game considering they’re down two all-star caliber starters: hayward out and kemba is broken.

Zone D being used vs us again..it truly bothers our players and flow.
spoelstra saw how much it bothered us vs Toronto. We just can’t attack the seams of the zone well enough and we don’t shoot from the perimeter well enough. that’s where Hayward would help he’s very good at attacking a zone
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D
