This series has shown the Sixers what they have going forward. Horford and Harris are two huge mistakes, waste of money. Milton and Richardson are great pieces going forward for this team. Those two and Embiid are the only players worth keeping from this roster that's facing the Celtics.

I'm still feeling good. It seems like even when we have bad stretches + Sixers have great stretches, the Sixers are either still trailing or only hold a slim lead. Of course, when we get hot we just pull away from them. Wish we could do that this 2nd half

Philly has tried to keep Tatum from getting going and it has basically worked.  JT with only 6 shots.  Philly has been over playing to him a lot.  The def from Philly overall has been better, so we are going to need to keep being patient and move the ball.

I've been impressed with Josh Richardson the last two games. It also helps that the 76ers have mixed up their defensive coverages a little. Embiid isn't dropping quite as far back, they occasionally blitz his in the PnR. It hurts that Hayward is out, it allows Phili to send more help at Tatum.

That said because Richardson is guarding Tatum the 76ers have no one to guard Kemba. So even with just six shots the mere threat of Tatum is making the Celtics better.

Yeah Philly is obviously really concerned about Tatum.  When they are all overplaying him so much it should open someone else up for a quick dive to the hoop or wide open 3s.  We need to exploit that if we can.

Just 4 points from our bench that half.  Someone's gotta step up and pitch in.

Semi sabotaged our bench scoring in the first half.

8-1 in turnovers.

We fix that we will be okay.  With good ball pressure, Philly will start making mistakes. One turnover in the first half?

How much of Al Horford's perceived awfulness a result of...

A) Age related decline
B) Being a terrible fit in Boston.

Because he's getting paid 28 million this year, which is actually a million less than the C's paid him last year, and he's never been a big scorer. With Isaiah/Irving/Tatum/Brown to score that didn't seem to matter,  but now that he's on a team without that perimeter talent his lack of scoring seems exposed. Really his best offensive skill might be his pick and pop ability, but the 76ers never do that. And on defensive he's a center, can't really guard modern 4's, and of course in Philli he can't do that either.

Yup.  Gotta knock down at least one of his three 3's.  All of them were wide open.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
I'm still confident. We need to generate a few TOs and get Tatum going a bit and we should be good. Glad to see neither team is rolling over.

Come on, Jaylen. You had Embiid in isolation. You have to take him to the rim.

There you go, JB! More of that, please! Neither of their bigs can keep up with you.

I feel like we're enjoying our jumpshots a bit too much in general on mismatches like that.  If our wings get Embiid on them, jumpshot.  If our wings get Milton or Burks on them, jumpshot.  I'd like to see us be much more aggressive in attacking the paint.
