Man, this Lakers team really are not impressive at all. Carried by the officials, and Nurkic doesn't look invested at all (not to mention Whiteside never does anyway)

They are big, and LBJ and Davis are good scorers, and the NBA wants them to make the WCF at least.

I don't even know if the Clippers are capable of stopping the Lakers either. They don't seem to have an answer for Davis. LeBron still putting up great numbers at his age.
Why have the Lakers and Clippers both passed through to the Conference Finals when they haven't even won their own series (and both have lost games within these first series')?

Who is beating them? Denver? Utah? OKC? Houston? No, no, no, and no. I’d be shocked if the WCF isn’t LA vs. LA.

ECF is a bigger tossup, mostly due to the lack of Hayward making that series much closer than I believe it would’ve been. I don’t think Miami gives Milwaukee too much trouble (take a game, maybeeee two).

I can definitely see Houston beating the Lakers, and the Clippers have only scraped by Dallas in 2 games due to a bad ejection and injury.

Miami have already given Giannis and the Bucks trouble in the regular season with their size and ability to play good zone defence, so I can see them pushing Milwaukee to 7 considering the Bucks haven't looked too hot beating Orlando without its #2 and #3 best players

Holy crap.  I just looked at the box score of the Pacers vs Heat game today and Miami took 52 free throws

This is why I don't watch NBA games anymore outside of the Celtics.  That game must have not only been a snooze fest, but poorly officiated (per usual) seeing the foul and free throw discrepancy between the two teams.

Fix your product, NBA.

Edit: I looked up the officiating crew for that game, and Tony Brothers was one of the officials.  It all makes sense now.

TP!

Endless phantom calls...unwatchable product...media that is supposed to shut up and ignore the situation, as if fans are a bunch of dumb arses.  Thank God there was a comment in the Blazer Laker game by Van Gundy.

Such a lazy way to control (over control) the sport.  Basketball has a lot of incidental contact.  It disgusts me how easily they blow the whistle....beginning of Blazers Lakers, Lillard yells and falls on his layup attempt....whistle....zero contact....and that goes on all game long in various forms of extremity.

This new over policing of the sport has created a situation where every player screams on every drive and then looks at the ref....I'd have a hard time being a coach these days...I'd lose it.

Helpful hint:  Refs, you need to see the contact or hear the contact.. Otherwise, let the play continue...thank you.

The Blazers outplayed the Lakers in the 1st half but the refs blatantly kept LAL in it and they were only down 4 at halftime. Then AD and Lebron pretty much took over in the 2nd half.

It's becoming real clear they want the LAC-LAL showdown in the WCF. Clippers looked really good in Game 3, but again that Game 1 KP ejection continues to look brutally bad. LAC would be down 2-1 if that didn't happen

Hopefully, Toronto loses to Brooklyn tonight to force a Game 5.

Boston needs all the rest they can get. Come on and use your home-court to save yourselves Brooklyn!!!

Clippers punishing the Mavericks so far in the first half. Lou Williams 14 points off the bench.

And just like that, down to a 7 point game

This is going to turn out to be the big 'what if' series for the Mavs with Porzingis' game 1 ejection and now missing this game.

I'm hoping Paul George is saving all his star performances for the Lakers series.

Otherwise, so far another dud from him. Unlike the Sixers though, the Clippers are much deeper and have a better coach so they can ride it out for now.

Dallas have really been quite unlucky. Stupid ejections alongside niggling injuries to their two star players have really made this tricky for them

Watching all these supposed top teams in the West so far, and I think barring injury we are just as likely a championship team as anyone
