Refs favor Lakers, Refs favor LeBron.  So any team that beats the Lakers is really beating the refs and the NBA.

What is JVG smoking? That's a blatant foul, evidence by the ball being four feet short from hitting the rim lol

Lakers are just tough to beat.

And with the refs on their back? Even harder.

Anthony Davis and LBJ just walking back (barely walking) on def and getting called out on it by the tv crew.
It was embarrassing.

Van Gundy was busting on them pretty bad for that. “”That’s not championship effort.’”

Nurkic has been pretty bad for them tonight from what I've seen.

Man, this Lakers team really are not impressive at all. Carried by the officials, and Nurkic doesn't look invested at all (not to mention Whiteside never does anyway)
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

Portland just went ice cold in the 4th and pretty much gifted the game to the LAL
Portland seemed like they were running on fumes for most of the 4th..

They are big, and LBJ and Davis are good scorers, and the NBA wants them to make the WCF at least.

I don't even know if the Clippers are capable of stopping the Lakers either. They don't seem to have an answer for Davis. LeBron still putting up great numbers at his age.

That’s kind of the problem when the long shots aren’t going in for Portland. They have to rush back on defense and the Lakers are a great team in transition. Bad formula and they got killed there tonight especially in the 2nd half. Blazers defense is already bad and those don’t help. Plus Nurkic is pretty slow on the court so he’s not stopping someone like AD in transition.

As for Nurkic, he missed SO MANY bunnies late in the 3rd and early 4th quarter. The broadcast even called him out on it and said he needed to be more aggressive and stronger

That said, the poor guy looked gassed out there and played 36 minutes I think. Also he might still feel a bit occupied as his grandmother passed away from COVID over a week ago.

Why have the Lakers and Clippers both passed through to the Conference Finals when they haven't even won their own series (and both have lost games within these first series')?
