There is video on ESPN of Tacko Fall practicing step back 3s. No one is blocking that shot!

They only show one, which he made, but he might have missed a dozen before that attempt went in. He also shuffled his feet after getting behind the line.

Some light hearted frivolity during trying times? Yes, but it shows he’s still working on improving his game.

Unless the NBA changes the rules because of the Covid restart, he’s not eligible for the playoffs.  So this is a pretty safe bet.

That said, I’d love to see Tacko get a few minutes in a game without the crowd so there isn’t a roar just because he’s on the court.

EDIT: Apparenrly they will be allowed to bring the 2-way players, which is great.

Yeah, it’s nice that Tacko and Waters get to join the club, but they won’t be playing. It’s a good experience for them though. Especially Tacko.

He’s made some big strides from where he was going into training camp last year, and training against real NBA players in this “2nd season” the Celtics can further evaluate him before training camp starts for next year. Having him shoot 3s seems like they’re interested in keeping him around.

Yeah, if they are allowing 17 man rosters, the 16th and 17th men have to come from somewhere. We might actually get to see playoff Tacko!

^Tacko mastering the skyhook would be ridiculous. Obviously the three point shot is nice, but the sky hook is a different animal assuming that Tacko would be shooting it like Kareem if he masters the shot.
