When is the NBA draft??

Then free agency starts on the 18th of October, if I am remembering correctly, as I heard it on sports radio but am having difficulty finding the proposed changes to the 2021 season online.

So if the Finals goes to game 7 and end on October 12th, the draft would be 3 days later and free agency 3 days after that. That would be one busy ass week for the two Finals teams.

If the away team wins game 7 of the Finals, that championship team will most likely be doing their victory parade(Covid allowance pending) on the day before, of, or after the day of the NBA Draft!

That's sick!

And then a few days later free agency opens up.

I could google this of course, but does anyone know what the situation is with free agents that were formally out of contract come June 30. Are they just automatically extended (and presumably paid?) until the new free agent period commences now?
