It'll be interesting to see how that team comes together with LeBron and Doncic.

(a) play them together as forwards
(b) play them together as wings and put an off ball PG next to them
(c) play them as guards and go big, big, big, BIG, BIG

I had seventeen guys I was considering for my pick, and only two have been taken.  Cool to see such different valuations.

Luka and LeBron, who in many ways have extremely similar games, both need the ball a LOT?!?! Well, it worked for LeBron in Cleveland the 2nd time around with someone that also needed the ball, so I guess it can work.
I'm not sure any of LeBron's former teammates come close to Luka's ball dominance. His USG% was 37 this season :o

With such a young career we have no evidence of him really being an off-ball guy, but I love his game so much I'll try my best to picture it

When the draft started, I had 11 guys in my top tier.

Luka was the only guy in the 2nd tier that I debated with myself whether he should join the 1st tier or not.

He's a bad fit next to LeBron, but imo he's a top 10 player in this draft (even at the age of 21).

So far I've heard Grant Hill and now Luka Doncic described as "top 10 players in this draft".

LBJ, Shaq, KG, Duncan, Curry, Kawhi, Durant, Giannis, Kobe, Dirk, 06 DWade.  Thats 11 players all of which are an MVP or a Finals MVP.  I'd can't find one, nevermind two guys there that Luka or Grant Hill are even close to.

I did have Luka as a late second rounder though, so he's a good value.  He just requires the ball in his hands to be most effective, which is why I didn't take him and probably why he's sliding.  I've got 5 other players that I considered first-second round talents still available to be drafted too.

Willing to listen to offers as well.

And that number is low / fails to tell how much Luka has the ball in his hands directing traffic for his team.

I guess the best example for Luka and LeBron is ...

LeBron's years in Miami next to D-Wade. Two ball-dominant wings who play like PGs a lot of the time. Their main issue on offense was their lack of jump-shooting which forced them to go small in a four out one in offense.

Luka is a much better shooter than Wade though.

When Wade played with LeBron, his usage% was in the low 30's. In Cleveland the 2nd time around LeBron had a teammate that had a usage rate at 30%. I think LeBron will be able to coexist with Luka.

Man, there is one guy in particular I'm surprised hasn't been picked. I know he's a bit of a tricky fit, but he was pretty high on my draft board.

That's fair. I guess I just view Luka a bit differently because of the complete control of the offence he has in Dallas. Definitely a very talented group though

There is one guy who isn't a tricky fit that I can't believe hasn't been picked yet.

It will be a hard fit if Luka goes off ball.

He's a 26% shooter on catch and shoot situations this year. Very low sample size, but still. But to be fair (uh to be faiiiruh), last year he was at 37%.

So at best, he's an inconsistent catch and shoot guy. Does not bode well for me as far as fit. Or maybe I'm overthinking this?

Very good pick.  Should go very well with Klay & Kawhi as a facilitator.
