Yes he could use some NBA experience on that bench.

one can only hope with as bad as they've been on defense.

I think we talked about this last year, most teams would love to have Brad Stevens if he was available as a coach if we wanted to move on from him. Who would we replace him with who would be better and available? Fizdale? Atkinson? Stan Van Gundy? I remember some people suggesting they wanted a demonstrative coach, someone who would jump up and down on the sideline, because at least that coach would look like he cared, and would be like the fans at home jumping up and down in front of their couch. Maybe we could replace Brad with Thibodeau not just as a defensive assistant but as head coach? I'm sure he'd get the whip out and get the screaming on the sideline happening.

I would be nice to have a no nonsense personality somewhere near our bench.

Could be fine as an assisstant. However from what Ive read at Canis Hoopus, the times have certainly passed him by and his defensive schemes are now outdated.

Definitely shouldnt be a head coach here. Although the guys who scream at Stevens daily for sitting players will love him as Thibs loves to overplay his starters (he sometimes play them all game) and burn them out.

Thibs is toast as a head coach for me. He's definitely someone I want nowhere near our young guys as a HC. The idea of him doing to Jayson and Jaylen what he did to Luol Deng and Derrick Rose is an awful one indeed
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

  • A true Celtic plays with heart.
I have frankly no idea why people are even entertaining the idea of Thibs..

His defensive schemes were built for the early 2000's, and he has a tendency to over work his players.
