Awesome.

I'm telling you all now, this team will not be healthy for the playoffs. And by "healthy" I mean having all of the top 8 guys available without restriction.

People keep saying, "All I care about is that they're healthy for the playoffs," which is a fine sentiment, but the playoffs are still 6-7 weeks away—plenty of time to heal, but also plenty of time for any number of Celtics to come down with more injuries, illnesses, and/or rare tropical diseases.

We can't afford to drop many games like tomorrow, IMO. Having the 3rd seed and possibly facing Philly in the 1st round could be a nightmare. And we have had precious few games where all of our guys are playing together. There's hasn't been a stretch where everyone was playing at the same time to build chemistry.

Yeah the next two games need to be games where we take care of business, and preferably do so without needing players having to play heavy minutes (34+ minutes). But I guess I'd be fine keeping Tatum and/or Smart out for one of the next two games since it's a back-to-back.

Get to 50 wins and then shut it down. Call up the G-league reserves, play 1 starter per game the rest of the way. Get everyone else into a sealed chamber doing pool exercises and shooting drills. Start the playoffs fresh. Heck we'd probably still have home court! Might even still have the 3-seed!

I still want the 2 seed. Series against BKN/ORL followed by TOR with home court advantage? YES PLEASE. #3 seed isn't terrible but the path might be PHI (with Simmons/Embiid back) and then Toronto without HCA. We're right there with Toronto in the standings, so lets go for it.

2nd seed is very important, that HCA is very vital for our playoff success.

Illness is whatever, it'll pass. I'm just glad Kemba's back and hope his knee responds well.

Illness isn’t worrying me (assuming no convid19). But the likelihood of injury-freedom throughout the playoffs seems low.

The key will also be how they manage everyone's minutes going forward. That's why the goal is not just to beat the bad teams, but try to prevent guys from needing to play heavy minutes those games.

I think this is just load management under another name. They're being smart about it so they don't get fined. All these "illnesses" will disappear in time for the playoffs.
