Would have liked to get the win like 40 minutes before my birthday, but that game was still very entertaining.

Kemba can't come back soon enough.

Absolutely hate Houston though. Only time I’ll root for them is if they play the Lakers in a playoff series. That’s it.

no, Hubie, I will not give Houston credit. They are a joke. We (and Houston's referee friends) gave the game away.

They've beat us like 5 or 6 time in a row. It's time to give them credit.
Think D'Antoni and his 8v5 strategy have Brad's number

not really much good to take from this one other than that miracle to tie it in regulation.

just feeling a combination of disappointment and disgust over how the C's played after the first quarter and the officiating was abominable.   screamed more at my TV tonight than I have all the other games this year.  so infuriating.

WHY DIDN'T WE CALL A TIMEOUT???

Because our coach is absolutely incompetent at end of game situations. ABSOLUTELY INCOMPETENT. Our iso game has been AWFUL all night long, yet this idiot thought a free flow play was going to win it.

I'm so done with Stevens. He's blown so many of these games like this because he refuses to call the timeout.

This is the only time I agree the he should've called a timeout. No Kemba, no one was hot, the Rockets defense was set and only a one point lead. The rest of the time, for me its just a pet peeve of yours.

TP for agreeing with a Stevens criticism for once lol

Look - I know it's just a philosophy of his, but it's just not a good philosophy, ESPECIALLY given that he's a master of ATO plays and ESPECIALLY because we don't necessarily have that type of iso player (at least we didn't tonight) that you can trust to go do that.

It's just garbage coaching, and it's screwed us over so many times that I can't even count. Houston isn't a great defensive team being this small, so them setting their defense is vastly outweighed with us creating an actual play to run to get a good shot. What we got was NOT a good shot.

Hayward really struggles with these clutch late game shots.

I know he's efficient when the game doesn't matter, but he's killjoy in close games. Point blank layups, wide open 3's - you name it, he misses it.
You know how easy it is to refute this, right? He, Kemba and Marcus all shoot within 1.8% of each other in terms of FG% (Kemba as the best, Smart as the worst), and Hayward is our best clutch 3 point shooter, closely followed by Tatum and Kemba. So basically, he's no worse than Kemba (just a much smaller volume), and he's massively more efficient than Smart in the clutch when you consider 3P% and FT%

Tough loss.  Fun game to watch.  We were missing Kemba.

Might be valid if a number of Houston's offensive rebounds and points were garnered illegitimately, but they were

Shoot, I wouldn't even root for them then. I've never truly disliked a team before. Even the Showtime Lakers. They were still entertaining, and the games were fun. Heck, even the Kobe Lakers were entertaining. This Houston team... isn't. Jeez, what an ugly brand of basketball.

this hurts worse than lakers .  Rockets play the worst form of basketball ever , i d much rather watch HS team.  I might pull for Lebron over them .

Brad has no clue how to coach against a totally unorthodox game .

totally clueless .

Yes it was. Brown hits that shot often.

Hayward is better than he thinks he is.  He needs to understand that

C's missed some open shots but no way Houston can be that handsy on D and not foul.  it's astounding how much they swipe at the ball and don't get called for fouls.  both games we've played them too.  haven't seen any other teams this year get away with what Houston gets away with

Absolutely infuriating. When does Brad get held accountable for these God-awful end-game decisions? How many games has he given up due to this putrid philosophy of refusing to call a timeout in these situations??

I'm guessing he doesn't, because it's about one millionth of the issue that you make it out to be. Emphasised by the fact you then assume we will automatically win when he takes the time outs that you want. False logic, and almost a total non issue.
TP to Scottie. Completely agree.
