Grant Williams has surprised me with his offensive game. He has some moves in the paint.

Trae Young is one ugly dude.

His face looks really punchable

Tremont is getting rooked out here. Two cheap fouls.

I am oddly more patient with him than Edwards.

Makes sense to me, he's shown more than Edwards thus far

I don't think that's necessarily true if you take pre-season into account.

The 'problem' with Edwards is that he needs to be a high usage player when he is on the floor if he is going to be useful where Tremont can play a more traditional PG role. Tremont has been pretty awful tonight, though.

  • GOT IT!!!
Listening to this game on the radio and it sounds so boring. Dead crowd, three balls, and Harden like fouls.

Got to target Trae on offense , easy score and make him work on both sides.

I'm not too concerned, the Celtics do need to try harder on defense though. They've forced a lot of turnovers to be fair and have defensive rebounded well, but some of the rotations and awareness have been off. Maybe I'm being influenced by the Hawks' shooting.

Cmon Brown. Just because you're hot on offense doesn't mean you can take defense off.

I’d rather he not pick up his third foul in the first quarter.
Take him off the court if he can't defend wideopen layups without fouling.
Wow, being the team's high scorer while being tremendously efficient, taking on the challenge of defending the much bigger John Collins and limiting him and winning the latest EC Player of the Week gets you no slack for not being your best at defense for one whole play.
He consistently has a couple of dumb defensive plays a game. But good to know Player of the Week=no criticism.

There's a huge gap between "no criticizing" and "take this player out of the game because of 1 defensive play"
It's almost like context exists. Someone said Jaylen gave up a wide open layup because they're afraid of him getting his 3rd foul. I responded by saying that he shouldn't be on the court if he's that worried about picking up another foul.

Context exists on others' posts, too. No one is saying that you can't criticize a player, but suggesting that one of our best offensive players shouldn't be on the court because he's being cautious on D while in foul trouble is absolutely worthy criticizing
You must like bad defense then. You can think whatever you want.
  ::)

Players play through foul trouble. They will just have to limit gambling. Its not a foreign concept. Coaches preach that to their players all the time. They are playing because the pros outweigh the cons, esp with Kemba out.
