Tristan Thompson is our only hope now.. Paul Pierce begging TT to come to Boston if bought out..he said he would put us over the top

Why would he join the Celts?

He would probably join his buddy Lebron if anything

The Rockets make sense.
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

League source says there will be no buyout for Tristan Thompson in Cleveland, and that he will play out the season with the Cavs before hitting free agency this summer.

soooooo IT NOT to the Clippers, at least not for long.

Dang, I thought he could have won a ring if he stayed there lol

If IT gets bought out, he comes back to Boston to help the green win the title.
I wouldn't be opposed to it but we'd have to figure out who to cut.  would be one of Edwards, Green or Poirier in all likelihood.  The bright spot would be he would provide scoring and ball handling off the bench but he'd have difficulties in this switching defense.  don't forget that in the playoffs with him, the other teams picked on him in the post very successfully

I'm sure we can all agree that we love IT.  I don't see him being a good fit on this team.  Would his ego hurt the locker room.  When he was last here he was a cult hero.  He would absolutely provide the scoring we need but Wannamaker has been performing well in that role.  He can definitely be another playmaker on the 2nd unit but how is he going to feel with 15-17 mpg per night?  No way that makes him happy.  I just can't see it being a good situation.  He needs to go somewhere that needs a PG where he can play 25-30 per game showing he can still play in this league.  There has to be a bad team out there in need of a PG.

Of all the years we don't have contracts making enough money to cover his salary.  This was a straight up salary dump.  If we had someone over paid that could have matched his salary adding in Poirier and Kanter with a pick he'd be in green.  Figures it took nothing to trade for him this year.

Is Omari Spellman going to get cut from The T-Wovles? He'd be a good pick up. Big Bay part two!

A lot of teams have too many players after these trades. Someone useful might get dumped....

Wonder if Danny finally gets Wayne Ellington if he gets bought out.

Yeah not that I was against getting Drummond, I just always felt like that wouldve been an over pay for him. If we couldve scrapped together enough salary with the end of our bench to go and get him I wouldve been all for it

Yep - you nailed it on every point. I loved the guy too, but Thomas will always have some painful feelings about his exit from Boston and returning as a sparkplug off the bench would almost be salt on the wound. Plus this group doesn't need another locker room drama problem.
