They're just going all small ball as much as they possibly can. All in on the only one non three point shooter on the floor philosophy. Since Westbrook can't shoot, everyone else has to.

Warriors were looking for Wiggins + the Wolves 2019 lottery pick for D-Russell. Minnesota currently have the 6th worst record in the league. That would be a high pick. They wanted it to be unprotected. Decent shot at turning into a top 3 pick.

Two high picks in next year's draft would give either (1) them a lot of ammo in the trade market (2) two very good young talents to put alongside their older core. Similar idea to what Ainge did with Tatum/Jaylen alongside Horford/Hayward/IT or Kyrie.

if that's true, GSW is nuts.  if anything, Wolves should have asked for GSW's pick with Russell for Wiggins.

Not a fan of either player but Wiggins has been a 20pt scorer for years and can be a decent defender if he makes an effort.  can't say I've seen the same from Russell.

I thought they were smoking some really good stuff in the Bay when they were asking for Covington and picks for Russell, imo Covington is more valuable than Russell due to his contract being incredibly sweet for a 3 and D wing of his calibre. This Wiggins+2020 MIN 1st request takes the cake though, at least they weren't asking for a high lottery pick to be a sweetener in the 4 team trade (even though I rate Covington more highly than Wiggins).
Jaylen Brown for All-NBA

Quote from: John Jaralis
Brad Stevens, who has seen his fair share of roster movement in his pro career, says he doesn’t expect the Celtics to undergo a major overhaul. “I don’t anticipate any huge changes with our team,” he said. “I think the only way we’d make a move is to improve… Our front office is good at what they do. If they decide to make a move, it’ll be to improve us and to add to the depth of a good team.”

The obvious question fans want answered is who the Celtics might be pursuing. That answer is obviously fluid, with conversations taking place all season long. “You play a team, talk to Danny the next day, ‘I’m really intrigued by him,’ and put an asterisk next to that, and find out what happens around this time,” Stevens said. “We talk all the time. I tend to pick my spots, but if there’s something that I really feel strongly about, I’m certainly not going to let the trade deadline go without sharing it.”

wonder if one is Indy for Turner or Sabonis

They've got no trade assets. Can't see them getting anyone with talent. Just placeholders/

Houston pretty much has no picks left to trade.  It’s hard to imagine they could put forth any sort of compelling offer for such a player.

I'm guessing its Christian Wood, Khem Birch, or someone like that.

I wasn't sure what Houston had left to trade but Indy seemed like the team with the most coveted assets for them to talk to.   for all we know, they may be talking to Danny to get Poirier   ::)

Rockets are probably taking on a Center their current team doesn't want. Think someone on the lines of Vincent Porier. Either a non-rotation big or someone who is overpaid. (ie Dedmon type though I don't think his contract fits their parameters)

I would be shocked if they took on more than 5.8 million in anyway and went back into the tax.

I think Gordon has to agree to any trade. I find it doubtful he would agree to be traded to Cleveland.
