Houston must have serious concerns about Capela's foot. That is the only logical explanation for them making that trade and giving up a 1st in the process.
I really hope this is not the next evolution in NBA basketball. They end of big men altogether. Teams playing 5 wings. Shooting 3s and breaking guys down 1-on-1 off the dribble.
Sorta like what Pat Riley envisioned for the league back in the early 90s. Five guys 6-9 who can all handle the ball, pass the ball, shoot the ball, post. Only smaller players and without the post play.
I truly hope this is not successful for Houston. But I think it's got a good chance. That is why a guy like Theis can get away as a starting center now whereas he never could have in the past. Too lightweight. It is the same thinking / same trend that allows Theis to be successful for us that is allowing Houston to do this with PJ Tucker at center.
