Some guys sit on the bench when they’re injured.  Some don’t.  It’s nothing to read into.

According to this tweet, Rockets asked for Marcus Smart, first round pick, amongst others in trade with Celtics for Clint Capela.

I would tell Houston to go pound sand.

I don't know if this is accurate, but I could definitely see that being what Morey asked for. I can't see the Celtics making a deal like that.

Is it interesting that I don't see Smart on the bench tonight?

No he's just hurt

Kemba is on the bench?

Smart would probably hurt himself getting too excited on the bench, and/or physically fight Brad to get in on step over Trae Young.

Fixed it for you  ;)

Detroit and Phoenix are discussing a deal centered on guard Luke Kennard, league sources tell ESPN. Suns' first-round pick is in play. Kennard has missed 22 straight games with bilateral knee tendinitis.

This Iguodala trying to force his way to certain teams is a bunch of crap. Just another player that wants his cake and to eat it too.  ::)

Yeah it’s disgusting. I was happy to see Brooks and Morant express a bit of frustration about it tonight on twitter (Brooks in an interview and Morant on Twitter with an emoji, but still refreshing!)

Yep, I don't think he's *that* good a player to think he can do that.
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D

The Nets are almost certainly not dealing LeVert, Dinwiddie, or Jarrett Allen for a package centered on picks, sources say.
From the Zach Lowe article

Bummer. I can't see Boston nabbing Jarrett Allen then.

Fair enough. How about for a package centered on players who are ready to contribute straightaway?

If that's the case, we could always find a 3rd team willing to trade vet(s) for pick(s) in order to make the trade work.

Alternativelly, I'd offer them Theis + Semi + pick(s) for Allen + Kurucs

Theis is ready to contribute straightaway and he'd have no problem coming off the bench (behind Jordan). The same goes for Semi. Obviously, we'd send them pick(s) as well.

Btw, Kurucs ain't half bad. He'd be a nice option to have off the bench.

Why is it gross, he got salary dumped to a lottery team and negotiated that he'd be traded or bought out. Pretty straightforward, the fact that Memphis surprised themselves by getting decent quickly shouldn't remove the agreement he had with the team preseason.

He got salary-dumped with a contract that was clear might be dumped in the final year the day he signed it.

As to his preseason agreement, we don’t know the specific terms, but I would be surprised if it was “we’ll trade you to a team of your choice”, as rumor has him pushing for right now.

It speaks volumes no one has offered Memphis anything of value. Has Iggy seen himself play lately? He's toast. If Miami trades for him, I can't imagine how he gets many minutes on a deep team. lol at him picking a list of contenders, as if he's Kawhi or Durant.
