I think there are two things in there to really make C's fans feel like we are going in the right direction.

First, as Pop says, there very few two-way players in the NBA and we have two guys at age 23 and 21 that are pulling it off. We may not have a top 3 superstar, but I think having two of these guys gives us something equivalent for a long time. Defense has a cumulative effect.

Second, Walker is quoted as saying "They are two special players," Walker says, "and this is their team..."

This is exactly what we need from Walker, and it shows just how mature a guy he is.

Pop's film room comment to Tatum was great.

Are you sure that wasn't Kyrie that was quoted as saying that? lol
Anyways, I hate BSPN so I didn't click on the link but thanks for posting some of what Jackie wrote.
Thing is, even if GH doesn't opt out, we are still a (big man) piece away (since JT & JB are not Steph and Klay material) from beating the Bucks in our conference. We may not be as good as Philly either when they are fully healthy.
With the Memphis pick likely being not higher (or lower, however you want to put it) than 13 or 14 we don't have that trade piece to get the piece we need. We are also short on bench scoring (a three point hot machine is needed...hopefully Carsen Edwards figures it out quickly) as well.
Tankathon has our draft power rankings as 6th highest right now and we could move up a spot if Memphis starts to lose a few so we need to find a team with a top 8 pick that would take all our picks and then find a team that wants that top 8 pick in return to make that trade for a big man so we can compete with the Bucks. It's tough sledding for you Danny Ainge.

The Tatum/Brown stuff is interesting. It seems pretty clear that they get along well enough but that Tatum was in Kyrie's camp the last two seasons and Jaylen was not. I don't know exactly where they are in their relationship but them not getting along somewhere down the line is a fear of mine.

I think they're the perfect pair. 2 big wings capable of guarding 2-4, one very physical and athletic, the other graceful and intuitive. They can both score from everywhere but in different ways so they can learn from one another. I hope they go down as one of the great NBA duos. They've got the potential.

Simply put: Its really hard to build a championship team.

Boston projects to be good enough for long enough with a great Tatum Brown core that they should be able to be 1 stroke of brilliance or luck away from true contention.

Hopefully Ainge can pull it off. Maybe Timelord and Romeo develop and Ainge strikes gold with a big man late in the first? Maybe he nails a trade and gets us over the top.

We aren’t in a place where the path to contention is obvious but I’m not sure how many teams are.

Brown deserved it. I feel bad for him. He outplayed both Bam and Butler the other night. Hopefully this will fuel him to be better, not to be jealous.

We fans need to make sure we appreciate Brown too, and we don't just pin all our hopes on Tatum the golden boy.

Dope.

Super angry that Jaylen didn't get an all-star nod.

He has been probably top 3 two-way in league this year.

Good for Tatum! For Brown there's always injury replacements.

I think Brown deserved it over Simmons / Sabonis.   Simmons gets by on reputation.

It's scary to see this picture, see how big and muscular Jaylen and Jayson are and think they both have another 10 pounds or more of man muscle to put on before they hit their prime years from now.
