Team has issues. Even without Tatum, they should have won, easily.  No hope tomorrow in Milwaukee
actually, if Tatum plays tomorrow, I think the C's come to play and quite possibly win.  I think a big problem with this game is that they didn't come to play tonight and only Jaylen and Hayward were able to get it going at some point.  Smart and Kemba are still checked out
Checked out yes. So why will they win in Milwaukee?
figuring part of the reason they coasted tonight is that they were thinking of Milwaukee tomorrow.  just a hunch that getting embarrassed tonight will light a fire under their butts tomorrow.
Nope, not their M.O.  they get blown out. I will bet you 10 TPs.

I have to agree to some extent, I don't know if we're a come-out-with-a-vengeance-after-an-embarrassing-loss kind of team but I hope we do.

We did vs Philly last time after the bad home loss vs Spurs - led by 15 before our two star wings quit scoring.

If anyone else notices, I think Brad typically will sit a top guy in one game of a back-to-back (usually the first leg), especially when they play a team that could be beaten without full strength.  It is a numbers game and tonight they lost, but I cannot fault that.

If Tatum plays tomorrow night, that only solidifies my thought on that.  Personally I would rather go full strength to get the obvious win and let reserves get trounced on the road, but Brad has a good record on the 2nd game of back-to-backs for a reason.

Hayward never saw the ball in the 4th after scoring 25 pts thru 3 quarters on 11-15 shooting. Instead we had Kemba and Marcus bricking it

yeah this was really frustrating.  Hayward and Brown were clearly the two guys we should have been going to.

Also, team went away from Jaylen in the 3rd after he was so great in the 2nd. And when it came to Stevens three man weaves with two people sitting in corners, the two guys who were hot were most often sitting in corners in the 4th while Grant, Theis, Smart, Wanamaker and Kemba were the ones with their hands on the ball creating offense. Don't get it.

Things like this that happen consistently just blows my mind - Is the entire coaching staff that clueless not to notice and re-direct the team's offense during a timeout. Stevens & Co. often allow the hot hand to fade or they simply rotate the player out according to some pre-set minutes plan.

What is Stevens strength as a head coach - it sure ain't motivation ?

This is a tendency of Smart. The larger the deficit, the more he takes bad shots.

What was it Gorman said? First team in nearly 15 years to shoot 60% in Boston?

Hard to even worry about the offense when you have a defensive night like that.

If you'd told me Hayward and Brown would shoot 21-31 I'd have thought we win this one going away.

We can complain about Hayward and Brown not getting the ball more offensively but the problem was defensively. Just about everyone on the roster sucked tonight on the defensive end. That's where this team lost the game. They played terrible defense for the whole game which helped the Pistons stay hot after starting hot.

this is what concerns me about kemba. he’s not the game manager or floor general this team needs with three wings who can light it up. kemba should control the offense and ensure we feed the current hot hand. consequently, when kemba isn’t shooting well, he’s a liability. he also hasn’t shown the defensive intensity we witnessed earlier in the season.

this team lacks a clear alpha leader who holds them accountable when they play uninspired ball, which has happened quite a bit lately. and marcus provided more evidence tonight that he’s not it.

I'm not dissing the Celts, I just think sometimes we don't have the killer instinct that strong. It could be due to Brad's relatively chilled out coaching style, who knows. We wound up losing that game to Philly by double digits though we did come out strong. Couldn't sustain it for the whole game though.

I'm not that worried though, I think even the Pierce/Garnett/Allen teams had a few rough loses here and there mid-season.
