Games like this are why I have reservations about Brad sometimes. Tatum, Hayward or Brown shoot poorly, ok. But Marcus Smart cannot be allowed to go 3-14. I don't care if he has to play Theis at guard, you have to get the point across to Marcus he doesn't have the freedom to jack 28 footers at his leisure.

Jaylen with a very quiet 21/11 game...

He also shot 28.5% and had 4 turnovers, mixed bag at best.

Silver lining, he was 7-7 from the ft line.

I used to cringe when Brown went to the line (or drove with his head down, or dribbled into traffic).  No longer do that this year.  I'm fairly confident each time he steps to the line, drives the lane or dribbles in traffic.

Now just reign in those turnovers a little.

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

Brown 23 points on 22 shots
Tatum 17 points on 20 shots
Hayward 10 points on 11 shots
Smart 13 points on 14 shots
Everyone Else 31 points on 28 shots

Just a really bad shooting night. If you told me the Wizards scored 99 points I'd assume the C's won.

Horrid. This was the worst game of the year.

Easily, the worst game of the year...

Marcus does some great things in a basketball game, but he sometimes over estimates his abilities. That's okay when you have lower level talent on the floor. But when you have Hayward, Brown, and Tatum on the floor with you, you need to direct spacing and concentrate on getting them going first. Marcus you're not Kemba. Kemba creates spacing just because the ball is in his hands and he's so dangerous.

When one of that 4 gets injured it forces the Celtics to go deeper into that bench and players like Edwards, Williams, Wannamaker, Green, Semi are counted on more. That's not good for the Celtics, that group is too young and in some cases just not very talented.

The Cs need a veteran tweak or two, and not just at the center position.

Smart and Brown should be benched the next game for how horrible they have been. Absolutely pathetic. Got shut down by midget Isaiah and a random g-league player.

I hope you don't coach any sport at any level.
Nah, I wouldn't last as a coach, especially with a team like this lol.
You mean with one of the best teams in the league?

Yeah, Marcus needs to be not stopped from shooting threes, but be at least quite open. He's actually a good driver, keeps his head up and sneaky good lane passer.

I'm finally willing to give up on the Smaht 3 point specialist dream.

it had that flavor of turning out that way from the start.   Smarts body language was off.

Maybe it was me ....or my imagination.....he looked like he was playing off IT on purpose or giving him a break ....that was some of the worse defense i ve ever seen him play .   he was not the normal Smart tonight ....his KG attitude was completely gone .

Wannamaker was hot garbage in this game but Williams and Waters had good games. Waters should've played more.

Yeah, Washington did look like one of the best teams in the league. Ish Smith is an MVP candidate, apparently.

I know Smart shot poorly, but so did almost everyone. Without Kemba him taking 14 shots  isnt absurd, two years from now I think without Kemba we'd be fine but right now without him the offense can struggle. Brown and hayward missed 3-4 wide open corner threes in this game that if two fall its all different. Just a off night.

Smart is better at covering bigger guys than covering those small quick guys.

Pathetic effort and well deserved loss that may possibly cost them severely in the playoffs if one game determines seeding. This game was eerily similar to Pats-Dolphins. Flu and eye infections over the last month make this sound like a daycare center. Someone with more medical knowledge than me please explain if flu shots could have avoided what is happening to this team.

Gotta say, this was a team loss from the top down as Stevens, IMHO, had one of his worst coaching nights of the year.

He went away from his normal substitution patterns. He went away from a semi hot Tatum. He let too much shots come from our PG position. He never put Hayward in any type of position to best use his abilities. He saw the team struggling with the zone and did nothing to stop it. And once again, he didn't have the team prepared to come out with the proper energy and focus.

Yes, the players sucked, but tonight, so did the coach. He coached as well as Jaylen shot the ball tonight.

They came back with Waters playing and then just yanked him. Waters should've also played in the 1st half. We needed quickness on the floor.
