Something never discussed on this site: the Celtics are a really good road team. They are 11-6 with the 4th best road record in the league. Even in the 6 losses they were fighting and in it to the end in 5 of those losses. They seem to come to play with tremendous effort on the road. For such a young team, this is ridiculously uncommon.

Yeah esp when you consider that in a lot of those losses we have an injured core player.

Very good point.  It will serve us well in the playoffs once we get to that point.

Another overlooked stat, we have only lost to 1 non-playoff team all year (Kings).  So we are taking care of the games that we are supposed to win.  That was a huge problem the last few years, but this year we are taking care of the non-playoff teams.

Next few weeks include some brutal games. The next two SEGABABAs end with Philly and the Bucks as the second game, and the Cs have to travel. The Philly game will be our fifth in seven nights; Philly will be coming off two days’ rest, and at home. Those really look like schedule losses...

Given the way the Celtics are playing at present and on the road all year and given the way Philly has been playing especially  lately but also, all year, I wouldn't put it past these Celtics to take that Sixers game.

We only attempted 19 threes. Got to the bucket again and again.
almost thought I was watching a game from the 80's with so many feeds to Kanter in the post.

i needed that  8)

Me too. McHale is probably smiling.

Ya on the other hand the C's have exactly two wins against above 500 teams on the road. One was against Dallas with no Luka, the other against Tor with no Siakam/Gasol.

To be 24-8 you have to be a good road team and against other elite teams! Celtics have a good record in pretty much every situation, second only to the Bucks naturally. Even the mighty Bucks are "only" 9-5 versus over .500 teams, just how it works. People will slice and dice it down till they find a way to look at a team's record to back up their opinion.

At least the paint wasn't clogged like it was back then , but it was fun to watch!

We had rotation players out in those games as well though.

Sorry, Cs injuries don't count!
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

At this point I just expect them to catch fire from 3. It feels like they do every time they play us, even though they've been struggling this season

That's how they beat the Bucks as well, uncharacteristically hot 3 point shooting

I am not liking the minutes that Brad has the starters playing, whiich lately have been a consistent mid-to-upper-30's per game. I understand the bench has struggled, but that much floor time is about to catch up with us as the schedule ramps up in frequency and difficulty.
The Four Celtic Generals:
Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce

Someone explain this:
We shot 15 less threes, scored 22 more points in the paint, had the same amount of fouls, yet shot 10 (!) less free throws. Now someone say the refs dont have it in for us with a straight face.

hats off to CBS , he did a great job punishing them inside .  Hey if you got a big stick on offense like Kanter ,   he. is on ,  let him go to work .   CBS did a great job rotating Theis and Kanter , keeping the pressure up .   I think he actually is learning .
