Several sources have indicated that the departure of Kyrie Irving and arrival of Kemba Walker has helped fill the atmosphere of the team.

“Night and day,” said one team source.

“You can feel it at all times,” said another source.

One source began telling Jay King of The Athletic in March that Irving and Kevin Durant had already decided to sign with the Brooklyn Nets.

“It never helps when someone doesn’t want to be there,” said a Boston source.

Kyrie got exposed when he left the shadow of Lebron.

Looks like Kyrie will not enjoy watching another Boston vs. LA Finals.

Kyrie may be a slightly better baller than Kemba, but Kemba is a MUCH better NBA player (leadership and intangibles count!)

The atmosphere is different because Kyrie isn't here AND...............

Jaylen Brown - who sacrificed a LOT last year - is NOW getting more playing time AND he got paid.

Gordon Hayward is FINALLY rounding into All-Star form.

Marcus Morris isn't here. Although he was perhaps our most reliable player he is NOW in NY and other players HERE are getting more opportunities.

Terry Rozier - Kyrie Irving's backup and rumored malcontent - isn't here and is getting a deserved opportunity to start elsewhere.

We were EXTREMELY fortunate to get Kemba Walker.

There are a LOT more Role Players on our bench - not looking to start.

This is just a tip of the iceberg as to why the atmosphere around team is different. If we chose to look harder the facts are there.

When Ainge in a press conference during the summer (right after Draft and close to FA) made those remarks, "you want to be able to come here every workday and be able to enjoy it", THAT should have told the whole world what last season felt like for everyone, including our very own ownership. Wyc was also upset with the team and rightfully so.

I believe Wyc mentioned in an interview he didn’t like that team as well.
