Crappy loss. Crappy defense. Crappy offense. Nets wanted it more.

Hard to deny this. While I like our resiliency, we have to show a 48 minute effort moving forward. We can't just be a 2nd half team.

Danny needs to make some trades. We have decent top 5 players but everything else is garbage. Just package some or most  of the smaller contracts plus some of the picks and bring good players ... is it that difficult .. if he doesn’t make any trades we are looking at 3 more underwhelming rookies next year.

I really wanted this too. Esp. with Irving and Durant in the building. I think it comes down to our performance from the centers. Allen and Jordan produced, our bigs didn’t. Smart played his heart out and you can’t always rely on Kemba or Jaylen to score 50 pts.

TATUM AND THESE BAD PASSES!!! Al game freaking long yo. All game long!!!!

I think it’s our bigs. Can’t they handle a simple pass? It’s been happening all day. Timelord, Kanter and Grant. Can’t handle a simple pass. Our bigs have sucked today!

Without a doubt in my mind ITS TATUM. He waits too long to decide that he wants to pass the dang ball. He might as well go for the bucket as long as he takes. He’s so annoying man 🙄

It's not 2k. He can't just package all of our flotsam for a good player. The same reason you want to trade them is why another team doesn't want to trade for them.

Yea but both Smart and Kemba fed Kanter and Grant a couple times under the basket and same result. Grant literally missed a basket, standing right in front of the net.

There's definitely a difference between a hard-fought win in which the team hits a higher gear in the last couple of minutes, and a lackadaisical performance in which the team suddenly decides to play well in the last couple of minutes. Today was the latter, and it says to me that they thought they could coast and get the win, realized at the last minute that wasn't going to be the case, then suddenly got their heads out of the sand—but by then it was too late.
There are two kinds of people: those who say to God, 'Thy will be done,' and those to whom God says, 'All right, then, have it your way.'

You don't have a soul. You are a Soul. You have a body.

Just some weird stuff in this game. Jaylen only took eight shots, and two of those where in the last two minutes off offensive rebounds. Grant was great defensively late, but awful on offense. Kemba and Smart didn't have any touch n their shooting today. Tatum shot well but 6 TO and 0 assists for a guy who gets the offense ran through him as much as he does is not good enough. Kanter got roasted late on defense he's just unplayable in clutch situations.

Need to play with more consistent focus to win.  Late/missed rotations and sloppy turnovers were a consistent issue.  Didn’t love our shot selection at times... Smart couldn’t throw it in the ocean in the first half but kept trying, and Kemba took too many quick off-balance threes.  Dinwiddie clowned us all night in the pick and roll and off of screens.

Regroup and get the next one.

Tatums IQ just hasn’t increased at all idc what anyone say, idc what his +\- is or how he’s scored this game. His IQ is trash!

I’m also critical of Tatum’s occasional brain farts but I didn’t think he was bad today, at all. He was active on both ends of the floor. Today, our bench, sans Wannamaker and our bigs stunk.

That’s why he needs to add his draft picks to get the other team to trade. If he makes 3 / 4 more picks next year our bench will be even worse than this years’

Theis was available, Brad just didn’t play him in the 4th quarter, per Brad himself.

lost because there was literally no contribution from Jaylen and Kemba could not sink a three to save his life never mind that Dinwiddledoo went berserk on us from three.

I give Nets credit today. They played harder and better and smarter.
