What scared me about Kemba was that there was no thumbs up or anything that was positive coming from him... horrible.
His hands were secured, were they not?

I was expecting that also.  Could be he can't move, could be he is just terrified not thinking about assuring fans, could be he was told not to move at all (?).
I'm completely clueless, but not sure how much movement he has when his arms were strapped to his chest like that. No clue..

Not even watching the game any more

Wow, what a feeling of deflation! Kemba means everything as his presence has been the main reason for our early success. Nothing left for me to say :'( :'( :'(

I've lost motivation to even watch this game. Prayers up for Kemba  :(

NBC Sports Boston saying Kemba is being taken out of the arena on a stretcher -- presumably going to the hospital in an ambulance

Kemba Walker being taken out of the arena on a stretcher
I'd expect nothing less when someone's taken out on a stretcher after a neck injury.  probably won't hear any updates at halftime.  might get something in the post game from Brad

No question.  Anybody who gets taken out like that is going straight to a hospital for an evaluation.

Why are we so cursed with injuries ??

Garnett '09 knee might have cost us 2 banners.
Perk '10 knee during Finals probably cost us Game 7
Hayward '17 & '19 leg & hand, will he ever be the same ?
Now Kemba most important that he is physically ok and not facing any real debilitating injury, beyond that basketball.

How long until we find something out? UGH.

I don't even care about the game anymore

Agree 100%, I don't care how this game turns out. I'm just really hoping that Kemba is ok.

You could go back to Bird's back injury, McHale's ankle, Reggie Lewis and Len Bias' deaths...

Kembas whole body goes slack immediately after the contact. Man there was Hayward's leg, Jaylen falling on his head on that Dunk, some truly scary  injuries in recent years for this team.

Somehow the Celtics are both the most fortunate franchise (being blessed with Bill, Red, Larry and co.) as well as being the most unlucky franchise (Bias, Reggie, unending injuries to star players like Bird, KG, Hayward and now Kemba).

  • GOT IT!!!
I really hope that isn't a broken neck. A stinger would be on the good side of things the way it looked.

Abby just called it a "devastating injury" -- I don't think that should have been the word to use.  We know it's scary, but not devastating till we know more.  I assume it's not because she knows anything more than we do at this point.

I’m pretty comfortable calling it devastating.  The most important thing is that Kemba is ok and can move his arms and legs and this is not some kind of permanent injury

But from a basketball perspective this is devastating.  We all know what’s coming.

It looked to me like his feet moved a little right after going down ............... let's hope so.

Needs hospital bed rest.. Flat specifically for Kemba for a day or 2 if its nothing serious... I don't even want to speculate if its a serious thing though because it can be season ending.

No one deserves something like that, but especially not a guy as good hearted as Kemba.
