How long before Jaylen is better than Jimmy Butler?

I'd say they are about equal no TBH.. But much responsibility is being shouldered by Butler compared to JB

But talent wise they are bout as equal as you can get.

That’s not something I agree with. Butler’s passing makes the gap somewhat significant.

His little turn around jumper in the paint is amazing this year--and he's been dead on money from that corner 3. Doing it in the playoffs will prove if he's ever gonna be a top 10 player though.

Agree.

The playoffs will be the big test for Jaylen.

As I've said.. It boils down to responsibility. Butler handles the ball about 40% more than JB hence he gets the James Harden treatment in the grand scheme of things in Miami.. JB doesn't have that reaponsibity but imagine swapping the two and if JB is tasked of doing the same thing in Miami, there no reason the believe Jaylen could produce equal results.. Maybe slightly less assists perhaps but not by much.

Jaylen was borderline dominant in the playoffs 2 years ago as a 2nd year player. I understand that consistency is the key with high end young players becoming All-NBA level players, but the dude has been nothing but money in the playoffs up to this point of his career. Hopefully with his intense focus and determination, that will continue in the future.

have to agree that the playoffs will be the best place to judge Jaylen's development this year.  he did well in the playoffs 2 years ago and looked ok last year.  if he's at least as good in the playoffs this year as he's been in the regular season, we'll be doing very well and he'll be deserving of any and all praise he's earned this year
