Big what if:

Danny trades Brooklyn plus Kings picks for Kemba instead of trading for Irving?
Celtics reach the finals in 2018 and this year Horford is still a Celtic ... one can dream

I don't think Kemba was available then.

Would like to see Kemba be a little more judicious on his shot selection.

If Hayward doesn't pick up the rebound and basket after Kemba's missed 3 towards the end of the game, it could've been a different outcome.

Kemba will learn that he's not in Charlotte anymore.

I agree with you that shot from 3 towards the end of the game was a bad shot.
Celts got lucky when Hayward got the offensive rebound.

Shot selection will be part of the learning process for Kemba because even though Kemba's a veteran, he's had very little playoff experience.

I hope so, because Kemba also has a nice mid-range game and is also a pretty good passer. There are many different ways he can help the team.

Absolutely!

Kemba's a winner.

I think it's just a matter of time.

This season the east is wide open.
With the departures of Kawhi and Jimmy Butler from their eastern teams, I think the Celts really have a shot at the finals this season.

Kemba will be one of the key players that Boston will need to deliver in the playoffs.

Hes refreshing because he is more IT4 and less Kyrie irving. A fun player to watch and is willing to fit in the scheme. Also a better defender than kyrie

Mike Gorman said it best on the radio yesterday. Kyrie would get his 25ppg but no one else would and guys would stand around.

Kemba gets his 25 but everyone else also flourishes

it's an intriguing thought but I agree that I don't think Kemba was on the trading block at that time.   However, in a vacuum, Kyrie is the better player so if Danny had a chance to get both, he would have been right to go after Kyrie.  Although, with Kyrie being the better player, he probably could have paid less to get Kemba.
