Well, they eked out a win. Against the lowly Knicks. At home. Sorry, but I can't bring myself to say too much positive about this one.

Hey man, counts the same in the standings.

It's a long season. Any win is a good win, especially with a # of guys out.

Classic play by Brad. Made Kemba a decoy and let someone shoot the final shot. Something that was impossible with a crybaby. Glad the guy is gone now.

All the IT plays where he started in the backcourt have given Brad a great way of making the court 3 on 3 (even years later). It gives him a ton of options

I mean I dont know if letting Tatum iso is actually all that great a play, it was statically one of the most inefficient plays you can run (at least last year). But hey, ball went in so who cares?

With a guy like Randle covering him, I kind if like it. You know he won't be able to contest the step back
I'm bitter.

Plenty of good teams eek out wins against bad teams.

Playing without one of our best players and our two best rebounders, we beat the Knicks when one of their players had a career night.

You can paint the narrative in different ways.

Celtics have the worst Center rotation in the NBA. Totally ruined on the boards almost cost them this game.

In fairness, they were down two guys. They’d have done better with Kanter and R Will available.

Not sure about Poirier. I was expecting more pow in rebounding from him.

I bet if we look at the shot chart for Tatum this is the first game with a bunch of 2s outside the paint. And a bunch of isos. Hoping he forgets this game and goes back to learning to penetrate off the catch or the curl.

That's why I keep emphasizing the importance of FTs.

Knicks only 14-21, 67%, from the FT line.

Celts even though struggling against a bigger Knicks team, made the Knicks pay at the FT line going, 27-29, 93%!

tough, gritty win.  not as pretty or easy as I would have liked but I'll take it.  TO's and some general sloppy play didn't help.  really need to get healthy because who we have left is getting killed on the boards.

We were missing our 2 best rebounders, or at least 2 of our best 3, and playing a 6'6 center because of it. What did you expect?

No, I'm not all that sure he's an NBA caliber player.
