foul the knicks and give them 2 foul shoots.

what? why? lol

I mean Tatum did what you asked, but we shouldn't have.
it stoped any possible 3 point shot and gives the ball to the celtics.

EDIT: like that one.

but if we wouldn't have fouled, they probably would have missed the shot and we rebound and it is a 3 point lead.

Fouling them was the only reason they tied the game!
the reason they tied the game was because they made a 3 point shot. if they had fouled someone before the shot, they would have had 2 points, not three.

I am talking when we were up by 3.  You said to foul and let them shoot fts when we were up 3.
I don't think you do that.  Knicks were shooting 39% from the field.  Play tough def, they were probably going to miss.  Agree to disagree I guess, but I strongly disagree.  If you are up by 3 with less than 1 minute left, make them score on you, don't give them free points.
I don't know if it's free points when it's sending a 40% FT shooter (Barrett) to the line

It depends on how much time is left. If its under 24, you foul.

Shot reminds me of Tatum's very first game winner for the Celtics in his first Summer League game.

Classic play by Brad. Made Kemba a decoy and let someone shoot the final shot. Something that was impossible with a crybaby. Glad the guy is gone now.

All the IT plays where he started in the backcourt have given Brad a great way of making the court 3 on 3 (even years later). It gives him a ton of options

I just woke up in time to see the Tatum game winner! Talk about clutch! Btw did Jaylen play?

No Jaylen or R Williams tonight.
or kanter either. great win!!!!!!! but hard on the heart.  ;D

It's wins like this one that will make the Celts an even better team.

It's nice to have several closers on a team, instead of one Kyrie.

Well, they eked out a win. Against the lowly Knicks. At home. Sorry, but I can't bring myself to say too much positive about this one.

I mean I dont know if letting Tatum iso is actually all that great a play, it was statically one of the most inefficient plays you can run (at least last year). But hey, ball went in so who cares?

They were missing significant rotation pieces!

A win is a win. We all hate "moral victories" when we lose a game, so why look for "moral losses" when we win?

Just enjoy that this team is talented AND fun to watch, rather than one or the other
