Both Brown and Tatum can't defend PFs.

Brown has been excellent tonight against Randle.

What are you talking about?

Reason why Brown had to sit was because of foul trouble.

Randle had no problem backing Brown down.

This is purely untrue
2019 Historical Draft - Golden State

C - Bill Russell/Joel Embiid
PF - Giannis Antetokounmpo/Tommy Heinsohn
SF - Kevin Durant/Billy Cunningham
SG - Bruce Bowen/David Thompson
PG - Isiah Thomas/James Harden

Brown is in essence keeping Randle to an average half in terms of scoring. Can't see how that's worthy of criticism.

The rebounding though..

It's not on Brown, it's on the coach for playing Brown at the 4.

Brown is good at guarding larger players. He good at guarding smaller players. The coaching staff puts him on the number one threat 1-4 because he's the best defensive starter. This is gonna happen all season because its a good strategic call.

And 2 out of 3 games Brown gets in foul trouble early.

Which had nothing to do with who he was guarding. Tatum has had three games were he's missed a lot of shots and in all three he's BEEN WEARING SHOES. Take your shoes off Tatum!

Again man I would also rather Jaylen guard perimeter guys, he's better at that than he is against PF's. But hes good at both and tatum sucks at it.

Toronto had Siakam playing PF, so Brown defended him.
Siakam is not a true PF.

But against Philly with Horford and NY with Randle, Brown got in foul trouble early.

Tatum ceiling is Andrew Wiggins at this point.

come on now

much better already

Wiggins is a dud when the game intensity increases

Tatum excels

Tatum needs to learn to excel prior to when the game tightens up. Keep things simple

...it just shows my disappointment.

I’ll try to be patient with him; but it is year 3 for Tatum....

Here's a list of all-NBA players who had peaked by three games into their third season...

You're welcome.

Like I said, Brown is being dragged inside and being forced to be a rim protector.
That's not Jaylen's game.

Did Tatum take those FT line floaters again? I tracked him taking those shots 2-3 times in the first quarter yesterday (if you're interested just go check out the Raptors vs Celtics game thread, I tracked good/bad plays our wings made in the first quarter).
Jaylen Brown for All-NBA

Who would have thought we would miss Theis so much? That said, missing any NBA starting level centre in the team tonight.

You are either blind or deliberately ignorant if you think Tatum does not have all star potential.

He does, but he's gone from:
Season 1 - sure-fire All-NBA
Season 2 - All-Star for sure
Season 3 - maybe an All-Star
