Through three quarters. Start Timelord or Theis. 76ers. Pathetic. Small ball.

I hate small ball
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

Robert Williams showed some flashes of talent.

That was encouraging.

Unless you have GSW talent, small ball is overrated.

That's what happens when you have the worst big men lineup in the league.
2023 No Top 75 Fantasy Draft Los Angeles Clippers
PG: Dennis Johnson / Jo Jo White / Stephon Marbury
SG: Sidney Moncrief / World B. Free
SF: Chris Mullin / Ron Artest
PF: Detlef Schrempf / Tom Chambers / Buck Williams
C: Ben Wallace / Andrew Bynum

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
Horford was a huge part of are wall defense that we used against Simmons and Giannis. This is how it's going to look with out a guy who can move laterally and has the size and strength to contest those hard drives.

  • takes.....MAKES!!!!
I don't think Joel was the major problem...

We (and probs no one else in the league) could not stop Simmons slashing to the rim.

Plus I felt the ball stopped moving when Kemba got it.

C's missed A LOT of open make-able shots.  They will not beat many teams shooting 37%, 27% 3 PT, 59% FT.

One in the books, 81 to go!

The Bigs did a great job against Embiid.  He averaged 27 last year and had 15 last night and got his butt kicked.  Simmons destroyed the C's in the paint.  Other the other end it's surprising the C's were in the game with 10 minutes left in the 4th.  You missed 14 FT's when you are a very good shooting team.  Kemba will not be this bad.  Jaylen will not be in foul trouble this much and the Ref's were just blatantly bad.  Everything that could go wrong last night did and the C's still had a chance.  Those two 3's by Harris and Kormaz sealed the victory.

Just because you have desire to play small ball doesn't mean you have the personal.

Small ball requires crisp passing, something we don't have.

It's the same nonsense as last season

Brad, when are you going to wake up?

Before the blame extends to Danny,  Small ball Brad, play Williams and Poirier some mins

A player like Poirier was brought in exactly for a game like last night.  Yet Brad chooses to doll out 33 minutes to an ineffective Marcus Smart

...Ineffective?  Were you watching the same game I was?

Marcus Smart kept us in the game with his defense, and he was the only guy moving the ball last night.  He was very effective.

How many pts did he score?

who was Smart defending, Embiid?

look Smart is a good scrappy defender. But he should not play 30 mins a game let alone more than 15-20.

He provides zero consistency in terms of scoring

And having him out there last night, expecting him to neutralize trees is utterly ridiculous.  It was not a game for him to play so many mins

13-15 mins of his time could have gone to more Robert Williams or give Poirier a few reps.  Maybe then we don't get killed in the interior

Poirier obviously is not ready; Brad is not a masochist.

And Kanter defended Embiid very well.  Our biggest problem was defending Simmons.  No one (but Al Horford, last year) could.  Philly posted him a lot, and got him out on transition.

I think Rob Williams should be trained to defend him. No one else has the size and athleticism to handle him on our team.
