Who’s starting, who’s not?  Who’s playing, who’s not?  Perhaps the information is out there and I missed it?

Either way, feel free to discuss.

if the preseason holds it will be....

Kemba-Jaylen-Hayward-Tatum-Theis

However Brad doesn't usually give out his starters till the last minute, so maybe they start a bigger center.

I believe Langford has been ruled out, as has Tacko Fall. Everybody else is available.

I look for Walker, Jaylen, Tatum, Hayward and Smart to all play close to 30 minutes if the game is competitive throughout. Theis starts at center and we see healthy amounts of Kanter & R Williams - if he can play. Semi plays in this one and gets some of R. Williams minutes if he can't go. Only guard I expect to see off the bench, beyond Smart, is Edwards.

Theis starting at center = recipe for disaster.

Brad Stevens will never learn, will he?

Grant will play.

is it confirmed that theis starts tonight? if not, then why blame CBS for hypotheticals?

Tacko and Poirier have yet to play an NBA minute. RWIII doesn't look ready at all, and Kanter is a horrible defender. None of them have convincing arguments to start. Theis knows the system, and can move his feet. That alone make him a no-brainer, at least at this point.

I'm thinking; Walker, Brown, Tatum, Hayward, Kanter.  They're not paying Brown that much money to come off the bench.  I think Tatum plays more 4, especially when we see the official heights come out.

I agree.  RWIII looks like a complete project that isn't ready.  Tacko is perhaps the biggest project of all time.

I know Theis might get abused by Embiid tonight but on most nights he's perfectly adequate.  He fits in seamlessly and is low maintenance.

This is key. Stevens is the type of coach who will rotate starters based on matchups. Theis might be the starting center a lot this season but if he's ever not going to be, it'll be against someone like Embiid.

I think we see Kanter tonight.

Brad is still coaching the team, so best advice is to expect many different lineups that change over the course of the season.

Theis is the only one capable of pulling Embiid away from the basket.
