The Kings, the feel good story of last season, are now 0-5 after losing to the ... Hornets.

Figures, we use their pick and now they stink!

I want the Grizzlies to be 0-5!

Their pick is top 6 protected this year.

Warriors cannot catch a break right now. Had all the good fortune in the world, but over the last 6 months they've been absolutely cruelled by injury.

Maybe the NBA is turning into the NHL promoting fights.

Embiid/Towns fisticuffs is the first thing I see on NBA.com right now.  Love it.

For those who haven't seen it

Edit - better link with replays, alternate angles.

I wish.

Embiid is a punk!
Mainly histrionics on his part. It was basically just a shoving match and then he started prancing like a clown for the camera.

The Suns are dismantling the Warriors in Chase Center.

What universe is this
I don't know but I like it.  And it is happening in that nice new arena.  Its going to be nice and empty if they keep playing so poorly.

They'll be back to the 'ol 2008-2011 Warriors again. Mediocrity and bottom-dwellers.

That's awful news for Curry but it pretty much confirms Golden State's best move is to tank and try for a nice lotto pick to go with Curry/Klay/Draymond + whatever they get for DLo next year.

Awful news.  Bad day for the NBA today with that and the Embiid/Towns fight.

At least Celtics won.  And Nets lost.   :D

Embiid is a great showman.  He knows how to play to the crowd.  The Sixers fans loved it.  He knew he was going to get tossed so might as well have fun with it and get the crowd pumped up.  Lot better than sulking or acting like a fake tough guy.

Spurs move... Yup that 1997 Duncan fiasco all over again.

Sucks that it had to happen on a Yr where they opened their new arena

Who does Aron Baynes think he is?

Just put up a Larry Bird-like statline of 24 points, 13 rebounds, 7 assists, 3 blocks, shooting 50% from the field (but poorly from deep). Only 1 turnover too!

By the way, all in under 30 minutes

Part of the reason why I was upset with Brad last season was that he was unwilling to play Baynes anything more than 24-26 MPG. Obviously he was injury prone last season, but he didn't play much even when he was healthy. He's a borderline elite defensive center with a modern offensive game for a big man (can shoot, bang inside and pass at a decent level).

I also don't think Brad used him particularly well on offence. Baynes' shots seemed to be either threes or shots at the rim. In his first season here he was deadly knocking down the mid-range game, and like you mention his passing is solid.

Still, never saw him dropping a near triple-double on the Warriors!
