Off to an excellent start.  34/18/5 though did foul out as the game is in OT.
Really strange performance. He shot it a lot, but I didn't even really realise. Sort of just suddenly had 30 points and 25 FGAs.

Either way, huge performance. Keen to see him against a team with good wings (us).

Yeah Pelicans had an uber-small starting 5 with Holiday, Ball, Redick, Ingram, and Favors.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

But I think that speaks to the fact that he's playing within the flow of the game.

Oh yeah, no doubt. I think Nurse even touched upon that pre-game, saying (paraphrasing here) that he hoped after signing his extension he'd "continue to let the game come to him." He still forced a few shots here and there, but a lot of his misses were actually just easy early-season bunnies. Showed some really solid post moves.

Siakam played great. So did VanFleet. Raptors are still a good team.

Yeah, they're an interesting team in the East. Especially is Siakam really does take a step forward and Lowry isn't washed. Then they've got Gasol, Ibaka, and a host of interesting young guys.

Siakam played a great game.  he did chuck up some bad shots but it seems he has the green light.  His length is tough to defend.  He's like Giannis in that way but not as good.  Giannis is the greek freak for a reason but Siakim is quick, lengthy and can jump.  He's going to make the allstar game this year if he plays like he did yesterday all year.  Toronto is still a top 3 team in the east without Kawai.  OG Anunoby is one to watch as well.  He's going to be pretty good.

Siakam is overrated

Foolish move by Masai

Could have got away with 20-25 million per season

Whats next, max for van vleet?

My guess would be Lowry gets traded in summer VanVleet becomes the starting PG...

However Siakam is miles ahead of Tatum and Brown... The man dropped a 35 bomb in the NBA finals on 80% shooting game 1 and just opened the season with 34/5/18 he's an NBA champion and could make All NBA, All Star and All Defense a lot of idiots making dumb money aka John Wall cough... But Siakam isn't one of them.

Anyways we'll find out tomorrow night I guess Celtics hosting Raptors.

well he showed me last night

If he can make 3s like that moving forward....  that is dangerous

has a very good motor and doesn't ever look tired on the court

super indecisive at times with those silly post up fakeouts.  Needs to tidy this part of his game

Siakam's meteoric rise over the last year or so has been astounding.  I don't think anyone associated with the NBA saw this coming at all.  His rise from a nobody to a star has seemingly outpaced even Kawhi Leonard or Jimmy Butler.  I'm not saying he's on their level yet, just that Kawhi had a much more steady and natural progression, and while Butler did seem to come out of nowhere almost overnight as well he seemed to top out about where Siakam appears to be right now (Siakam obviously has to prove it for a much longer period of time though).

That man is a very good player! Proving a lot of people wrong, good for him!! Has the quiet, crazy murderer type vibe to him like KL. I like him.

I want to say, he wanted no parts of JB last night though. JB frustrated the hell out of him at one point he backed JB down for a tough bucket over him and he let out a primal yell but it didn't say what I think he wanted it to, it was supposed to be a "You can't guard me!" type of thing but all it said was, "please get off my ass sir!" lol
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

Raptors are going as far as Siakam and Lowry can bring them...

a top 5 team in the East.

Siakam is the real deal. Wish we had him. Nobody knew he will develop this good.
