Green really is quite a good athlete
What else is this kid supposed to do?  They can’t cut him after the display he put on in pre-season.

That's why it's best if the Celts just trade Semi for a 2nd rounder that won't convey.

Celts can keep both Strus and Javonte if Semi is gone.

Yeah, he's been killing it. Was really disruptive on defence in the SL, and has showed out in the pre-season. Good position to be in

There's no doubt Ainge will still make a trade to complete the roster for a playoff run.

If Jaylen and the Celts don't agree to a contract extension by the 21st, it will be very clear that Jaylen will be getting a max offer in the summer of 2020.

Celts will have 2 choices, give Brown the max of 30m per year or trade him on or before the trade deadline.

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

you must be jokin

Waters still has ways to go.  His 3 point shooting needs work. Also needs to add mass

If you takeaway his drive/clog the middle, how effective will he be?

He will have room to grow his game down at Maine

i think tacko has made 3 or 4 cav players decide to stop their drive to the basket and back the ball out.

Have noticed that for stretches in every game he's played so far.

If you look at the total period he's been on the court during the preseason, I think there have only been maybe 3 or 4 total attempts to drive in to the paint over a stretch of maybe 25-30 total minutes.  Once he gets on the court teams have a tendency to start settling for jumpers.

To be fair he is also coming in at the very end of games when other teams mostly have their lowest tier guys on the court, but still an interesting observation.  Once he gets more reps and the game starts to become more instinctive to him, I can see him have a pretty significant impact on the game for the stretches that he's out there.

Would be interesting to have him out on the court when playing against somebody like Giannis, who really depends a lot on his ability to get in to the paint and use his athleticism and physicality to either overpower people or just straight up shoot over them.  He might not be able to do that all that effectively with a guy like Taco in the middle.

Suspected you might turn that into a Brown trade scenario. Might want to see how Brown actually goes in the regular season before making such decisions. His handle and offensive reading of the play have both looked pretty sharp this pre-season

Yeah - because dunking a few times against preseason rosters and playing great defense against summer league fodder is all it takes to make you an un-cuttable NBA player.   :P

Nice job by the 4th stringers to seal the deal

But things didn't operate as smoothly without Grant Williams on the floor

Pure details and focused.  The Jared Dudley comparisons are good. Except that Gwill has a much better body

Edwards 9/15 from 3  :) :) :)

Best 3 pointer on the team. Celts haven't had a three point shooter this good since House/Barros

I believe Smart said they do call him Eddie House in practice  ;D ;D ;D

Celtics can still match no?

I think you let go of Hayward before Brown (or Tatum)

Hayward most likely opts out

Celts still have time

Sarcasm right?  He’s played whoever is out there and put the ball in the hole. Gotta find a way to keep him.
