Even though Tacko is Hall of Fame bound, he does get tired Quickly.

Timelord is not just Raw. He's completely undercooked, as a matter of fact, he gave me salmonella poisoning.

Kanter is what he is. Solid but allergic to defense.

So let's Trade for Adams if possible. He's as Legit as an NBA Center as we could hope for this year.

I thought we were done with trade ideas centered around Hayward while his value is at its lowest...

Hayward looked really solid in the first half before knocking his arm. If he's returned to his old self, which I believe he will, he's much more valuable than Steven Adams.

Plus, I would want to see how Adams goes without Westbrook next to him. Maybe he gets better, maybe he gets worse. I personally think he'll get better, but who knows

C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

One thing last night I noticed is that we have scoring issues, as much as we have defensive issues especially in the third but it is preseason.  So I think we will need Hayward.

Hayward is not going anywhere.

He's Brad's boy.

A solution to the big man problem is trade Jaylen for Sabonis.

Sabonis will automatically be better than all the bigs the Celts have right now.

Is this guy made of freaking glass?  You're going to get bumped during a basketball game.

Hayward is who he is.  We had a whole season to watch him last year.  There were so many points where he was "Back" I lost track.  Anyone waiting for him to average more than the 11-5-5 he put up last year is going to be really disappointed.

I’ve been against a brown/ Sabonis trade just because I’d hoped Brown could up his value and be part of a package that could bring back a really good player. After last night with Jaylen getting the early hook again, for an overweight Smart I’ve changed my mind.
I’m really frustrated with Brad. A lot falls on Jaylen. Don’t get me wrong. But I feel like Brad has already really been bad for Jaylen and his value. I’m afraid of it dropping further. I think Sabonis is a darn good player but I just don’t think it makes us anywhere close to a contender. I was hoping we could play the longer game and see if Jaylen can get back to playoff Brown from a couple of yrs ago.
Tatum’s style doesn’t help. I feel like Brown would be that guy if we did t have both Hayward AND Tatum as more talented offensive wings.
Does anyone think Aaron Gordon could be obtained in a Jaylen trade? Is there something reasonable for both teams involving those players?

You are correct in saying Jaylen's value will drop even further if Brad continues to "early hook" Brown every time Brown makes mistakes.

It was in the 3rd when the Hornets started pulling away from the Cs because the Celts couldn't score.

Brown made some bad decisions and Brad pulled him out and Brown never got to play again.

The Magic will not want a Gordon for Brown swap.
Gordon is cheaper.
Brown will cost 30m per year once he becomes a RFA in the summer of 2020.

Sabonis will not make the Celts contenders, maybe.
But Sabonis will solve some of the issues the Celts are facing right now.

we had a good center , DA does not like bigs   so he spends all the money on short people.

Lol. It was a preseason game and he played most of his minutes in the first half, before he got knocked. It's almost as if they're somewhat precautionary in the preseason :o

I do love your boring and just provably wrong assessments of Hayward. Missed them over the off-season. You can literally just look at his monthly stats and see continued improvement, but you choose not to. TS% in the 60s from Feb through until the Playoffs started, and even in the Playoffs he shot better than our three top guys (Kyrie, Horford and JT). Continually posted a positive Net Rating during this period too, and a strongly positive +/-.
Even despite Brad's poor coaching, where he seemed to bungle the offence entirely, Hayward was still a reliably positive influence on both ends of the floor, and continued to improve throughout.

I wonder when Hayward does average more than 11-5-5 you'll go back to the routine quiet we had from you when his form was good ::)

Massive over reactions to Summer League or pre-season are a staple here at CelticsBlog/CelticsStrong. But to have massive over reactions to just one pre-season game, well, that is just special.

Jaylen for Sabonis.

Brown will never be what many have envisioned for him.

Give him 30 million a year? lol No thanks.

This is my preference unless KP can be pried away for Hayward.
