I was very surprised when Danny gave a two way contract to Strus but he looks big and strong. He looks like he can shoot and defend. He could be a solid player for development even though he's 23 he could still improve. Big time bucket getter/shooter in collage.

I have low expectation with the guy. I don't even know if he can even make the main roster next season.

If Tacko gets cut for this guy and he signed with other teams, I'd be extremely p---ed off.

the extent of my knowledge of strus is limited to this summer league. he can shoot pretty well, no doubt and that is why ainge wanted him around.

but as i watched him, i could not see him being very good at much else. i suppose he might have a niche on an nba team with his shot. but honestly, i think tacko and waters have higher ceilings, if also lower floors.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

He reminds me a bit of a Nader, but better.

He looks like he can pass and also drive. He looks smart out there. I think he will play better with better players. I realize he probably won't even play but he looks like he could get a few minutes and not hurt you.

Wasn't it just a couple of days ago that Strus was being written off in the game threads as a useless waste of space? So big improvement in the last game? I missed the last game, haven't had a chance to watch it yet. :o

The announcers stated maybe someone will sign Strus if he keeps this up

Ainge already signed him to a two way contract. If another team offers him a guaranteed deal, can they sign him away?

I just saw him the first couple minutes of the Memphis game. He took two shots, airballed a 3, and was taken out.
I didn't see him the rest of the game, though I didn't watch much after the 1st half. He looked like a 3P shooter. Decent size for a 2, but not very athletic.

Edwards only problem is his height. He's really a combo guard--loves to shoot. But his height isn't ideal for a 2. He'll stick for sure in the backcourt rotation.

Looks very one dimensional! Looks slow with average ballhandling skills. Can shoot it though.

Danny definitely has a type. I agree a bigger Nadar is what I saw.
ok fine

He’s got good size and can shoot. Good enough handle to attack close outs. Could be a 3&D type 4 except for the fact that...

He Looked poor defensively to me. Saw him get beat on the perimeter several times. Seemed to have strange positioning and guys just blew by him. So maybe it’s fixable? Maybe he has enuff lateral movement to be a decent defender if his positioning improves?

Idk. Doesn’t seem very useful as a two way project.

Didn't see much but looked super slow on defense in the few possessions I watched. I'd almost describe his movements as lumbering.
