Has Brown even been in town enough to talk business. Remember he is his own agent.
There is this new fangled technology, it's cutting edge. It's called a telephone. Can you believe it? Jaylen and the Celtics front office can actually use this new gizmo to talk to each other.....EVEN WHEN THEY ARE NOT NEAR EACH OTHER! I wonder if Jaylen and the Celtics offices have this new type of tech so that they can use it to have negotiations?

They haven't because they're concerned about telephone tapping!
Jaylen Brown for All-NBA

Brown representing himself in high stakes negotiations is a problem. There is a reason players use agents. Dealing directly with the player is tricky because the player is emotionally involved in the deal, and this may impede the back and forth banter in high stakes negotiations.  As far as calling him on the phone, well is it really prudent to conduct  these negotiations while one party is on vacation?
