I like Tacko. We better not let this guy slip past us.

He could be Rudy Gobert.
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

Waters will give you Shane Larkin at a minimum....surprised they brought back Wanamaker
So they used non-Bird rights to sign him allowing them to go over the cap. What's the hit if they cut him?

I think Edwards has looked like an NBA player during the minutes I have seen him today.
I just wish he was 3 inches taller
i believe edwards is only 3/4 of an inch shorter than conley. so not quite hobbit sized.  ;D
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

nice pass by Williams!
He's been excellent again tonight in limited minutes.
Grant is +41 over the 2 games. Just makes the right plays and impacts outcome.

Doh! My DVR clipped off the 4th quarter. I'm guessing that the game started late?

Really like this group of guys, Edwards, Williams and of course Tacko! Waters looked pretty good too.

yup , give him couple years to get moves .

The guy impacts the game just being on the court ...things go our way pretty much any time he and GW are on the court with Waters and Carsen

Missed the game, have to watch the DVR later...any thoughts? Whose stock went up and whose went down? Anyone we can use?

Tacko was efficient and dominant at times. Edwards started off slow, but then mixed it up with some outside shooting and taking it to the hoop. Timelord was all over the place in a good way - his work is really paying off. Waters was solid all-around.

Yabusele was hustling, but looked pretty bad once again. An early finger injury probably didn't help him get in any groove.

Thanks, TP!

They're showing a replay at midnight on NBC Sports Boston, I'm sure NBA TV has it on replay too if you have that.

I know he isn't a hobbit, but I just wish he was taller is all.  He has strength for his size, and he attacks the rim, he looks like an nba player, but he isn't a point guard at least right now and that is going to be a difficult adjustment either with him playing against 6-5 to 6-7 guys.   I liked his games in the NCAA tourney this year, and he did play against some bigger competition, so maybe I am yawning about nothing..

He would have been a top 5 pick and drafted by another team so I like him just the way he is.

I like him too...I am rooting for him.

Tacko was even better tonite. So was Robert Williams. They were even on the court together at times. Also with  that other big guy O.... Two big men up front insures at least one is near the basket most of the time.  Grant Williams, Edwards and Waters are the other strong players.

The Celtics, including this summer league team, have a bad habit of quick shooting 3s before anybody has gotten in position near the basket. When the shot is missed, it invariably leads to an easy basket by the other team. Greg Anthony says the best 3P shots are from passes out of the paint.

I also think Tacko and Robert are getting caught too far away from the basket on offense.  Trying too much to set traps on the perimeter at the top of the key. Not in position for easy put backs if outside shots are missed. It's not hard to see why the Celtics are so poor in offensive rebounding. They should be at the bottom of the key close to the basket to get easy shots, and 2nd shots on rebounds.

I actually think Robert Williams hasn't looked as good as we would want. His athleticism definitely shows at times, but he still makes more mistakes than I expected.

tonight's takeaways:
- Tacko looks like he's more than the novelty I thought he'd be.  worth a camp invite.
- Timelord's not ready for primetime.  spot minutes at most to start the season
- Carson and G-Will look like they may be able to contribute a bit this season.  nothing significant but some help to the more experienced players this year.
- Waters looks like a good PG.  3rd backup by next year -- maybe this year if they move/cut Wanamaker

Disagree with your time lord assessment. He played hard and made his presence felt. He is our best defensive big and expect he will get decent backup minutes.

Yeah, I thought Robert played well. I love both he and Tacko on the court up front the same time in situations. They can dominate just in size and length.

I think Robert is coming along. The guy is ridiculously athletic for his length and he has a sense of using his size well. Tonight you could see he wanted to play hard and play well.

He hasn't played enough to get past staring at the play sometimes. You watch a star like Garnett, he is watching the ball but, is constantly adjusting his position and assessing the other 9 players on the court.

I hope they give Robert minutes this year, I think there will be a payoff if they do.

I see potential for him getting ornery and bringing that into his defensive game.

His flashes are so much fun to watch. He can make really killer passes, he just isn't consistent yet.
