Durant, Harden, Ibaka, Carmelo, and Paul George all didn't work out for Westbrook, so clearly Westbrook is the problem.

Steer clear away from him.

If by "contender" you mean we'd get to witness empty stats be put up that look good in the regular season, only to get bounced earlier in the playoffs than the regular season indicated we would, then sure.

If by contender you mean actually a winner, then no. I like Kemba more, lol.

Kevin Durant, Harden, Ibaka and George all failed to win with Russ.

Westbrook could play the 2 and I wouldn't mind him in this system.

I'd give up Brown and the MEM pick for starters

No, people are saying Russ is why they failed because he is detrimental to playoff winning. He doesn't put in effort on defence, unashamedly chases stats on both ends of the court, doesn't ever play smart or in control basketball and routinely takes terrible shot after terrible shot.

He just put up a TS% of .501. That is awful. He was exactly as inefficient as Terry Rozier, but instead of taking 9 shots a game he takes 21

Westbrook is not going to age well because he can't shoot. Also, he's on the dreaded supermax which severely limits a team's cap flexibility to add surrounding talent.

Although I like Westbrook I don't want him here. He is not a good fit. Brown and Tatum need touches especially Tatum and with Westbrook you know it won't happen. I d rather try to get Adams

No -- Westbrook is not what we need. Another ball-dominant player who needs to monopolize the ball to impact the game. Bad fit with the other players on the team. Too much redundancy leading to diminished returns. Not a title team.

No way.  He's been doing the same thing for almost 10 years.  My biggest knock on Westbrook is his lack of awareness and composure in key moments.  It's like he blacks out from the intensity of the situation.  Sometimes it works, but most of the team he falls flat on his face.
