Center Kanter, Timelord, Tacko, Poirier,

PF G Williams, Hayward, Theis, Yabu

SF Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Semi

SG Brown, Romeo, Smart, Carsen

PG Kemba, Smart, Carsen, Wanamaker, Waters

That's 17. That's our best 17 right now. Can Wanamaker, Tacko, Waters, and Yabu all be dumped with minimal consequences?

Poirier is in front of Tacko right now.

Why cut Wanamaker or Yabu?

Why not, you know what you got and the ceiling is low on both of these guys.

No reason to cut anyone.  Tacko and Waters will be 2 way contracts if they even make it.

Easiest...as in, with minimal consequences to the rotation or depth...I'd say Yabu and Tacko.  Neither looks to have a role on this team, IMO...the center depth is now adequate with Kanter, Poirier, Timeloard and Theis.  Waters is also "expendable" as it stands right now (PG depth is adequate now too), but let's see what we've got in him first.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
Waters and Fall are at best two-way contracts so they wouldn't really be being cut.

Don't be so quick to set Yabusele free. While he is obviously a weak point on this team, his $3.1M expiring is one of the best salaries we have for matching in a trade.

The easiest ones are Wanamaker and Ojeleye (in that order) as they are one-year vet min contracts so there are no repercussions for the future and they are cheap. I am not sure why we locked up Wanamaker to that 15th spot so early, but we are so far under the tax threshold that he can easily be cut for another FA at some point and it really wouldn't matter.

No reason to cut anyone. They have a full roster. The two new guys will be in Maine. I guess Yabusele but his contract is more appealing if he stays for trade matching purposes at this point.

Semi is the easiest to let go. His contract can be waved.  Yabu talent wise is easiest to let go but I assume he is kept around for salary matching in a trade.

My prediction is Waters and Struss are 2 ways, Tacko signs with Maine and we keep Yabu and Wannamaker on the 15 man roster
