Poll: Does Tacko make the 15 man roster this year

I watched the first half, and it seemed Tacko wasn't getting many touches. Everybody was shooting 3s, maybe trying to impress Stevens and Ainge  in the audience. You get the ball down low to the kid, it's a sure 2 pts. Set some plays up for him!

One problem with Tacko is his unique skill set. Robert  Williams is the closest, but not quite the same. Tacko can reach above the basket without jumping.  That  means you get him the ball near the basket, he just drops it into the basket. No wonder he was a 75% shooter in college.  That kind of productivity doesn't grow on trees.

You want to get production out of him, you have to play to his strengths. I just wonder if they want to do that. We'll see.

I wonder if the C's could exploit Tacko's abilities by playing him when they go zone?
I know most nba teams don't play much zone, but as a change up he might fit in that role.

Granted Time Lord didn't play tonight, but it seems Tacko has more of an impact on the other teams offensive play when he is out there vs. when Time Lord is on the floor. It seems his presence has more of an impact over RW.

In terms of contribution I would too, but Guerschon has a $3.1m contract that would be more useful to the Celtics as a trade piece than whatever garbage time minutes either player would be able to give us this year.

2 ways are tied up in Strus and Waters. Someone will use a Two way on Fall. He's raw but moves incredibly well for that size.

Strus looks out of shape, I know he was sick Monday, but agree with you 100% and I would add Yabu as a guy that needs let go, contract or no!

It is only valuable if we make a trade, which Ainge has not made a lot of during the season.   Otherwise, it is a waste of 3 million cap space and a useless player on the bench.    How many times the last few years has Ainge made a trade deadline deal?   Hence, I am not optimistic that this "useful" cap space ever gets used.    I wish Ainge would just make the trade now so we'd be done with him and clear up some space.

BTW, I think Denver had a scheme for Tacko.   They bodied him a lot and had two people on him at times last night.   They also fouled him rather than give him those dunks.

This guy moves to well not to be a role player for somebody. I’d love to see him signed in green but he wouldn’t get the minutes to develop.

That is an easy solution for me.  I don’t see the upside in Strus, and a bit of a waste to have him on a 2 way contract.  Yabu on the other hand at the very least could be very useful salary filler in a trade down the line since we have limited mid sized contracts.

My biggest fear of losing him is overseas.

He could make a lot more $$$ in Europe or China than he could here next year.

 Too bad that we didn’t draft him, so that he could play overseas and we will still retain his rights.

I think there is going to be a lot of disappointed people in this thread after Tacko gets cut. Tacko is not an NBA player and shouldn't be on this Celtics roster.

I hope he clears waivers and signs in Maine to get that $50,000. But if he doesn't clear waivers and someone picks him up, no real loss. He probably has an extremely limited NBA career at best anyway.
