Torn about Cousins.

He’s definitely got a personality about him but He did seem to buy into GS last year. There’s a reason teams have shied away from him and it’s not so much his personality, but his injuries. Coming off a torn Achilles and quad is nothing to scoff at, especially for a guy his size.

For a buy low type of deal, I wouldn’t be against it. It seems like he has been humbled over the past two year. But I’m not sure how he’s fit on this team and if the Cs run into the too many mouths to feed issue again.

Pass.

Celts can't offer better than the minimum anyway.

Pass, I don't want his attitude near Robert Williams.

I doubt the Celtics are going to put up with attitude issues after last season.  There's no financial risk for the team.  If it's not working then we can simply dismiss him.  There's no way Cousins will be a worse example than last years group.

I've never heard a teammate say anything bad about Cousins.

Neither have I, but that doesn't mean he can't be an issue inside the locker room.  Most reports mention that Cousins was prone to yelling at coaches during practice and film session.  There's also his lack of composure on the court.  These can be major issues, especially if teammates really like him.
He's moody like Kyrie. He can get into funks and has been described as just exhausting to deal with because you never know what sort of mood he will be in. Also he has more issues with coaches, refs, front office, etc than players.

We won't have much sunk in. If he becomes a pain, cut his butt.

Risk/reward here is so obvious, you have to sign him if you can.

It literally is!

Hearsay is also called reporting when its not in a courtroom. I trust the sourced reporting of Zach Lowe, Ryen Russilo, Windhorst, Tom Haberstroh, Jackie Mac, etc, etc.

Tough call on Cousins seems still like a Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline. bag but for cheap and with our needs I would have to take him at this point unless Danny thinks he can still get someone like Capella.

simply put....Cousins at 70% skillset WILL BE better than all of our Bigs.

Cousins has a legit 3 game, still back to basket game, mid range and some defense.
He gives us options that we wouldn't have if Kanter goes down for long stretches.

I'd much rather overspend to get him here, vs wanting to trade MORE valuable assets mid season.

He shot 27% from three last season, I worry his shot might not be there if he's lost his lift.

Also I cannot imagine we'd be getting him for the minimum, that means we'll have to so some sort of S&T and give up assets to do so.

If they take him, this will really be a defining decision. If they're right it's a coup. If they're wrong... then they really missed on another critical personality assessment.

After last year, it's not so easy to trust in talent and the team's ability to work things out.

I’d be ecstatic to land him. I think he’ll fill a big need for us. I just don’t know how salaries will work. I can’t imagjne him for minimum

I wouldn't say it's a miss on a personality assessment. You take risks, sometimes they work out sometimes they don't. Bringing in Cousins on short, cheap contract is a low risk, high reward type deal. If he causes trouble they can cut him with no problems.

Maybe 3 way S&T with Charlotte?  Maybe we include Mook in the deal too.  Will be interesting if we hear more rumors about Cousins.

Yeah, we have tons of room under the luxury tax. If we signed six centers to minimum contracts and cut five of them, we’d still be fine financially.

That's a lot of cash, no?
