Hope? lol... Apathy comes last.  Why would you have hope for a broken relationship?

Hope for a new one. That's what you put yourself back on the market

I would either troll him with the commercial he shot thinking he was going to go up in the rafters or just replay tribute videos from IT, Paul Pierce, KG, etc.

How long should the Celtics wait before retiring his number and putting it up in the rafters?

Right after the mass productions of Irving toilet papers and door floormats

As long as every departed player gets one..I am cool with it. Baynes get one ?

Baynes probably contributed to more playoff wins than Kyrie.
Probably? He definitely did. He was our biggest X-factor against Philly last year for bruising Embiid's sternum and ego all series, and he also played very well against Milwaukee last year.

Not enough people are talking about how huge Baynes was for us and how much we are going to miss him.

As for Kyrie? The hate needs to stop. Seriously. He was here two years. He didn't Ray Allen us. He's a weird guy who wanted to go home. Who cares? He wasn't here long enough for us to be this p---ed off. I'm actually more p---ed at Horford for going to Philly.

I'm telling everyone here right now: booing him is going to look pathetic. We are better off simply not reacting to him at all.

Absolutely!  I really, really, REALLY hope that Horford went to Philly for the money, period.  I don't dislike the guy and he was great for this team, but going to a direct division rival hurts.

There's a way to leave gracefully and he didn't have it within himself to do it. I don't think he showed any respect for the organization or the fans when both bent over backwards to support him even when rumors (that turned out to be true) came out during the season he was planning to leave. All season he griped publicly about everything - the rotation, the young players, the plays, Stevens. According to sources, people in the organization even felt he quit during the Milwaukee series.

This is a guy who, likely through his agent informed teams during the season that he and Durant were a package deal. Why the hell else would New York suddenly clear up two max slots by trading Porzingis? I'm not saying he promised that he would go anywhere, but clearly the Knicks had inside info that it was a possibility and that could have only come from Kyrie. I believe you can do whatever you want in free agency, but call me a traditionalist when I say informing opposing teams of your offseason plans before even the trade deadline is beyond the pale. His teammates already hated him, now they find out he's as good as gone and already making next year's plans. To me, that's called sabotaging the season. Just keep your mouth shut and shake hands and leave at the end of the season. Is that too much to ask?

If that doesn't deserve boos, I don't know what does.

Will he even suit up and play in the Boston games?

Seems like a good time for "load management DNP - Did not travel with the team".

We will have a tribute for him inside ourselves.

Show a video of Kyrie talking about getting his jersey retired in Boston, followed by each Celtics player raising their retired jersey, then que to Kyrie and Durant talking in the hallway, where it was assumed they were discussing about teaming up. Finally, end the video of Kevin Garnett screaming.

Having said that, I still wish Kyrie was in Boston. He was a straight baller.

What I don’t understand is all the hate for Kyrie, but Al seemingly getting brushed aside like he didn’t exist. Al was fantastic during his time here, but abruptly left for arguably one of the Celtics biggest rivals in the East. We killed Ray Allen for doing this, but Al is getting a total pass. I’m personally more upset by Al leaving than Kyrie. As great as acquiring Kemba Walker was in free agency, I was left wanting more due to the departure of Horford, knowing everything he did for the team.

Ray Allen left to the biggest Celtics rival (at the time) and took half as much money as the Celtics offered. I think that's what really rubbed people the wrong way at the time. Now I actually gave Ray a pass all along because of Danny dangling him out there in trade talks all the time and the pain in the ass of having to play with Rondo. Some things just are meant to come to an end. I can't fault Al for taking millions more in what is most likely his last huge payday. I salute Al as a great Celtic!

Keep hearing this, wonder if it's is a little overblown.

He played in CLE during the 2018 season, though the C's only had 1 road game there, and that was opening night, which is probably one of two regular season games you don't want to miss (along with Christmas).

He skipped the 2 road games against CLE in the 2019 season, but it's hard to call either of those an anomaly, because he was taking a lot of games off during that time, not just the CLE ones.  And CLE was a crap team last year and both were only 1 game road trips, they definitely fit the profile of resting vs the weak teams and not taking unnecessary trips.

Since I expect both BOS and BRK to be in the playoff race together, I don't think Kyrie's going to skip those games.  Every game at Boston will probably be a nationally televised game.  Might even get one of the early Christmas day game slots (though maybe that's in Brooklyn, not Boston).

If we really want to break out the , he also skipped both games at Brooklyn.  Out of respect for the city he would be playing for next year???

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

Just a video montage of him talking to the media during his time with the Celtics.
