Seems likely to be either Butler or Russell. I don't think think that this will be the big signing they need like Klay or Kawhi.

Simply amazing.

There is always a team willing to help out the Lakers for no apparent reason, and yet still keep Kuzma.

Should be interesting to see how they fill out roster with only the Room Exception and vet min contracts to hand out and just 4 players under contract (assuming they use all their space on one player).
Wizards apparently liked Wagner?

They're over the cap anyways so it doesn't really cost them any opportunities.

Russel is actually probably who it is.

My calculations show ~ $29.4M of cap space for the lakers. Unless they renegotiate Davis’s contract the cap space they have is enough for DLo max contract and another small contract - $3M
I am not sure how are they going to get any max player to sign for 10% less then their max given the tax situation in Cali

I think they'll sign Russell. There seems to be a lot of smoke lately about them coveting him.

This reminds me of back in 2012.  Somebody here wrote something along the lines of:

"Here we are all excited about getting Jason Terry and Courtney Lee, while the Lakers fans are excited about getting Dwight Howard and Steve Nash"

Back when Howard was an MVP candidate and Nash was still an All-Star, and Terry/Lee were bench players.

This feels like something similar.  Seems like a lot of us are getting excited about maybe getting Kemba Walker and Capela/Adams, while the Lakers get Anthony Davis and some other big name free agent.  Comparison truly is the thief of joy lol.  Hopefully the Lakers haul works out about as well as it did back in '12.

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

Here's hoping Kyrie signs with the Lakers.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

They'll likely sign Russell, have about $5m in cap space left over and get the room cap exception, plus their share of ring chasers. I think they'll fill out the roster just fine.

Unfortunately it is Russell.

It's awfully frustrating!!

Neither AD or the Queen deserve this, lets hope they have an injury plagued season! >:(

Please, somebody reassure me that it's not Walker.

They could keep Bullock in that scenario because his cap hold is $4 million if they wanted.

Its likely not, because Kemba and his agent should have been aware that the Lakers were an option and the C's conversation seems pretty far down the road.
