Keep Al, Sign Kemba idea that works within cap rules

So my chest is pounding a little and I am not certain whether I am going to be massively disappointed or elated.  I can't read the tea leaves the way some of you can.   Tell me what the TR S&T which appears to be done deal REALLY mean regarding C's possibilities now.

EDIT:  In practical terms (at this point) does this simply mean that Kemba arrives via trade which puts the C's over the cap, thus ensuring C's COULD sign it's FAs and WILL get the full MLE?

Well, that was short-lived.

This, if true, is not the end of it.  Think sign and trade say with Houston for Capela and Tucker or something like that.  Because of the sign and trade with Brooklyn (hopefully actually true), we can keep the hold on Horford vs. just having to renounce him.  This is certainly not anything routine to sign and trade Horford but if we can get players or a trade exception back for Horford, we may be better off than signing Horford straight up.

This does make a lot of sense. What the PG sign and trades really do is let us hold onto Al's rights. Even if he doesnt end up back here we could use him as salary matching fodder to an over the cap trade for big depth or generate a pretty sizable trade exception to chase another center somewhere all while holding onto the MLE.

I am hoping we sign and trade him, then I will be very glad not to have him back.  If we lose him for nothing, not so much.

What consideration are we getting from Charlotte to sign and trade Terry Rozier? 

Also, I don't understand how we went from having to relinquish all of our cap holds in order to create cap room to sign Kembra, to now signing and trading Rozier, and still having cap space to sign Kembra. 

Can someone explain this?

That still makes a difference when it comes to trying to sign a center.

this is what they are positing over on SoSH. And yes, that would make big difference in whom the celtics could bring in to play the center position.

I love Al, but 4 years is a long time.

That'd be a gut punch. Was happy with Al going elsewhere for bigger money, but if he goes to Philly on similar money, that's pretty effed up, especially because I do not like that fit at all. Al is starting to lose a step as he ages, and there's no way he can play PF full-time now with how small everyone has gone.

If the concern is Al losing a step, shouldn't you be glad if he ends up with a rival?
