Do we even still want Al at close to $30M/yr over the next four years? I mean, I absolutely love Al, but we have young players like Jaylen and Tatum coming up in the next two offseasons. I think I may prefer to do a s&t with Al (unlikely, I know) and acquire Steven Adams or even Capela with our acquired TPE.

If they do this, the owner must be fine paying the tax.

Durant announces right away, Brooklyn will announce a Kyrie 'commitment' at 6:00 but that keeps all this still on the table.  Brooklyn plays ball if the Memphis pick is sent them, I would imagine.

The Memphis pick is a major overpay for this type of move. It'd be the Bucks pick or our own. That's way too much to ask for something like this, and it's not worth doing it if they will only do the Memphis pick.
Except that they hold the cards - in terms of the Horford part - if that's in fact what's going on.

I mean, it depends though. If they don't get KD, does it really matter?  Are they going to pass up extra assets just because it might help a divisional rival?

Let's not forget Kyrie has to agree to be part of an S&T.  It's ultimately his choice.

Exactly.  Brooklyn can play nice and get something or be stubborn and not get anything extra.  Keep in mind that this deal helps Charlotte quite a bit too.  Instead of loosing Walker for nothing, they get Rozier and a trade exception.  My point is that they could throw in an asset for Brooklyn too.

Another catch in all this is Rozier has to agree to go to Charlotte.  He is restricted so has less options  but it still has to be what he wants to do.  It seems like a good place for him to get a chance at a much bigger role.

He gets more money in a S&T , so I don't see why he wouldn't agree to it.

He doesn’t get any more money.  He does it because the Nets ask him to and it would make him look incredibly petty not to.

That's actually not true anymore.

Stein & Broussard are tweeting that it it looks like KD is going to Brooklyn. If so does that take this off the table?

Get Kemba and Horford and have the full MLE to make a serious offer for Dedmon? Inject this directly into my veins.

I don't see why it would.  The only difference for Brooklyn is do they want Kyrie and some other assets or just Kyrie and nothing else.  I think Boston is going to give them a pick and Charlotte is going to give them some asset also.

No. They are independent scenarios.
